Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
II messed up a caption. It will be fixed momentarily.
:-S
HEY IT'S BEEN A LONG HOT DAY AND I HAVEN'T EVEN TAKEN A SHOWER YET TONIGHT!!!!
:-)))
"Grieving" Cindy.
Local Fox TV station, here in Memphis, talked about the people in Crawford, said there were over 3000 there in support of Bush and the troops and war, talked about the caravan, where all the supporters came from and barely mentioned the ditch witch only once, in just one sentance.
lol-help

There is supposedly a protest planned for a soldier's funeral in Martinsville, Indiana tomorrow... just thought some would like to know. I heard it in an MSN chat room. The protest group said to be showing up to picket the funeral is the Westboro Church Group. Townspeople are said to be angry, and prepared. The person said the local police may not offer any protection to the protestor group. It sounds like it could get quite ugly...
I still thought it was funny it when he fell over that limb though.
Happy to do it, bvw. I totally understand where you were coming from and didn't want anyone to start it up again. Lord knows, I've learned alot on FR, and it's nice to hear from others who try to keep an open mind on any given topic. You have shown your true colors and they are gloriously, "red, white and blue". :)
Some of the unwashed in front of the "Peace House".
Can't wait for the pictures to start rolling in....good job
See my #2339. My opinion is that if these people want to claim to be Americans they should learn to read the English language. This is shameful.
I was there and helped break up the near riot. I agree, the Protest Warriors methods should only be used on the other side. Some of the guys who rushed them still didn't get it when I explained it to them.
They need cocaine? Why Ollie?
Down loaded it to the computer and then ran brilliant footage really clear and good quality.
Why can't people read the whole sign? That's a Protest Warrior sign, it's the one I like holding the most.
Hey, don't underestimate yourself. I first saw a young guy from Kansas posting here about 5 years ago and was struck by his knowledge, passion, and intellect. Imagine my surprise when I found out he was still in high school!
Glad you could make it! Thanks for the pictures!
Oh thats right Joany, Mock Christians in the name of God. Sheesh
Screw the legacy media. We don't need 'em.
We have talk radio. We have the internet. We don't need them any more. And they're starting to find out. We don't even need FoxNews...the weekends are all tabloid TV anymore, and I quit watching for the most part on weekends. During the week, it's Hume's show - and that's about it.
This opens up a whole new world to me.
I'm the ANTI-RATHER!!!
BWAAHAAAHAHAHAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAAAHAAAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHA....
and so forth...
:-)
WOO-HOO!!!
Very good, SD....that is a great picture...did you see Darrell Ankarlo out there?
I think that next time there is a hugh, series FREEPER event, we need to have all of the freepers wear nametags or have cards or something, so that other freepers can recognize them....instead of asking strangers if they are freepers....
I can type all day on here...but put me in a crowd of people I don't know, and I wouldn't have the nerve to ask after a couple of times having people just stare at me! LOL
