(CBS 5) Oakland police are learning more about a brutal beating caught on tape and sold on DVD.
The DVD is called "World's Wildest Street Fights," and the scene was taped in Oakland about three years ago. Oakland police found out about the tape Monday, and don't know who the victim is, or if she's alive.
"As it stands right now, or homicide section has not been able to identify any unsolved homicides for that time period," said Oakland Police Department spokesperson Danielle Ashford.
Investigators believe that the woman was attacked in a parking lot that is now a charter school. The video shows her trapped in the back seat of a car, getting pummeled. Then the crowd pulls her from the car, and she's kicked and punched from all sides, supposedly as payback for cooperating with police.
Witnesses to many crimes in Oakland are afraid to cooperate because of fears of retaliation.
"They have some legitimate concerns," said Ashford. "But we do everything that we can on our end to ensure their safety, to make sure that we get a solid case and they won't be harmed."
Police are trying to identify people and cars in the video, but the only person seen clearly is the victim, and no one has come forward to say who she is.
This is the legacy of 50 years of welfare and liberalism in our cities....
Not to mention a society so depraved this DVD can be marketed successfully.
This is weird - can't they just check the hospitals around that time??? That would be the 1st place I'd look. And, maybe, I pray not, for funerals or obituaries, even.
I saw the video when Drudge linked to it a couple of days ago. For the life of me, I don't understand why the driver didn't pop the car into reverse and just floor it to get out of there.

I couldn't watch this, beyond the opening seconds. The guy she is with - her pimp, possibly, or her "boyfriend" - opens the backdoor so they can get her?

If there were a video of US guards at Abou Gharab doing anything which even SLIGHTLY resembled this evil attack (and to sh*tbag terrorists no less), Bush would be impeached thanks to the screams by the liberal c**ks**kers in our own Congress and in the MSM.
The viciousness of this attack is just stunning--makes Reginald Denny's beating look like a game of marbles. And what is even more stunning is that so many "people" could attack another human being in this manner and still sleep at night. But when you look at the video, you know it can't be a "hate" crime. Wrong characteristics don't you know. Jesse and Reverend Al would have no "concern" after viewing this video, I'm quite sure.
May every one of those disgusting pigs who took even one whack at this tortured human get what is deserving of them in the afterlife, if not now. May they never have a good night's sleep again (yeah, as-if!)
