I wear sandals - not flip-flops. Even thought I wear Birkenstocks, I am not a dyed pony-tailed maggot infested, dope-smoking liberal hippy.

I wear flip flops. They force you to slow down and take more of the world in. Sandals are for people on the go that wish they could slow down.

I was taught there are two types of people in the world: Those who divide people into two types, and those who don't.

"My research also shows that people who wear sandals like to go barefoot while people who don't wear sandals … don't. I have a friend who can't understand why I never take my shoes off in the house."

That is not true.

I only wear some sandals I got (not cheapo ones) maybe once or twice a summer, but I go around the house with only socks on all the time.

Wearing sandals in the summer only makes good sense.

I really wish mens sandals would go away. I don't want to ever see another guy's feet if I don't have to.

I live in what some would call a resort town. Lots of sun, lots of sandals and beachwear everywhere you go. Right now I've got on board shorts, sandals, and a tank top.

Life's good...!

I'd like to see everyone wearing a jacket, hat and tie again.

The way I see it, the world is divided into two camps: Those who wear sandals and those who don't.

For me, it is pointy boots... Usually Justins, Tony Lamas, Abilenes, etc... and Converse tennis shoes a few times a week...

I wear sandals: Birks, walking sandals, water sandals, sandals with three inch heels, flat sandals, leather sandals, plastic sandals, but never flipflops.

I have hiked up mountain trails in sandals, crossed streams in sandals, waded along the beach in sandals, dressed for fancy dinners in sandals, worn them on airplanes, worn them to work, worn them shopping, and to church. Slides, glides, velcroed or buckled, adorned and plain, dress and casual, but not flipflops.

I have worn them barefooted, I have worn them with sheer stockings, I have worn them with some of Columbia's best hiking socks, with Remington socks, with Danskin socks, with trowser socks of a variety of types. White, black, grey, taupe, translucent and opaque, wool, silk, microfiber, nylon. And you can't wear proper socks with flipflops.

Hi All-

The number of people you see wearing flip-flops around busy urban centers is absolutely amazing. Why would one want their feet in proximity to broken glass, bum p1ss, dog shi+, garbage, grease, and rotting food? My vote is for sturdy and practical shoes for everyday wear except for walking across the sand at the beach...

I wear steel toed boots at work all week long. On weekends in the summer I wear sandal because my dogs need the air.

I came of age in the '60s. Sandals on men arouse unpleasant memories.

I wear engineer-type 16 inch steel toed motorcycle boots with lug soles most of the time I am not in the shower or in bed. In the summer, they work for riding, in the winter, they keep the snow out, and they are adequate for work.
