The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.
Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.
Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.
We'll see.
Hat's off to Basil, Doctor Raoul, The Sarce and 2ndAmendmentMama (and anyone else) who've been scrambling the past two days to make this happen. Good luck!

I have many friends over there in the military and as contractors and they all say the same thing...the vast majority support us, and many are risking their lives for their own freedom and to help us.
Those are the stories that NEED telling.

I tell you, what a charge to be here on this side of the event and to FEEL the word getting out to thousands of lurkers and hundreds of posters far beyond the direct battle line!
Then for FOX to pick it up and get the word out to literally millions! Our troops will see this and take great heart after listening all week to the other side of this as represented by a bankrupt and corrupt effort to black ball the great work of our warriors! Brings tears to the eyes I will tell you to know that they will see how the majority of this nation feels about their mission and service.
God speed to all...with God's help and a lot of elbow greese some great work was accomplished today...and may God grant that we find the way to sustain it for as long as necessary!
Here is how far I've gotten:
I picked up Gracy and headed to Crawford, Basil called and said that she and Dr. Raoul, were already there. We got there an hour before noon and there were about 10 there. We did freeper nametags. And started setting up flags. TheSarce has a system of cutting a 8' in half and drill 2 holes. The swivel bolt has a small nut and the one to open has the wing nut. It is easy to keep in the trunk and makes a good flagpole.
We held them up to the chain link fence and the wind would hold the flag there (mostly) Then some great volunteers Pamlet and her son “Pamlet's son” hung up signs that said “Thank you Soldier, Sailor, Air Force, Marine and Coast Guard. “ One each of course.
My Marine flag, that started freeping at the Governor's mansion 11 days of the 36 till consession day, was in attendance. There was another Marine flag being held by a handsome young man. He stood by the road so that the drivers going by (very rutted road so slow pace) could find ours as opposed to “Cindy's rally” (They also had a Cindy's Shuttle SUV.) Then there was the Marine flag that was on the big motorcycle parked across from the speakers pickup.
Did ya have a good day today. I'm like you...wanted to be there in Crawford so bad, but having to work and living all the way on the other side of the state hindered my participation. Love seeing these pictures, though!
Yep, Dr. R read us the rules. As illustration he said that other FReeps the police used mounted officers to separate the FReepers from the other side. The officers and the horses would face the most likely threat direction. He said he'd never seen the front end of a police horse. I guess that means that he saw two sets of horse's arses at the same time. :)
There was this guy there today that I did not get...had a HUGE sign that said "TRUMP for President" and some website underneath. This guy was disguised as a "cowboy". I am from Texas, so that means just with a hat and teeshirt. He had a goofy smirk carrying this sign as if we got it. Of course, there were "pinksters" galavanting through as well. Perhaps some got it...I didn't. Can anyone tell me what their take was on this sign? Mine was, anybody but Bush was his meaning.

Very touchy for them to use this type of information, which is why the Code Ping/ANSWER moonbats have taken charge of her. Any recitation of the facts comes across or is characterized as attacking her, the sympathetic figure who lost her son in "Bush's War". It is very difficult for the average person to see beyond that given the MSM's fawning coverage.
One can only hope that her continued speaking out using some of the quotes posted earlier (anti-US, antisemitic, etc.) will eventually grow boring to all but the most jaded of the community. If the type of rent-a-crowd seen surrounding her today continues to support her with their radical pronouncements, signs, and yes, bumper stickers, more and more people will think she's crossed the line. However, that may still be some time away given that the MSM ooh and awe her every move, not caring the effect on our brave men and women serving overseas.
