On Hannity and Colmes, While discussing the requirements of a Supreme Court nominee, Ann just sarcastically noted that it was ok to kill a girl at Chappiquiddic. Colmes said that was a low blow and that comment was below her.
WHY??? WHAT is so darned SACRED about mentioning the truth???
Ann said, "Why..."
Colmes didn't answer, and the set was quiet.
Hannity and Reagan (another guest) should have spoken up.
This is another example of "The Emperor is NAKED!"
Lori, I have to leave for awhile.
When I get home, I'll be anxious to see your thought-out reply to my question above.
Just in case you can't find it, here it is again:
Do you understand that we are complaining about kennedy's behavior AFTER the wreck?
My point is, when Kennedy was driving that car, it wasn't his intention to get in a car accident and for Mary Joe to be killed.
Was it reckless driving drunk? Yes.
But what about Laura Bush.
She went through a stop sign and killed that kid because of that.
Thats just as reckless.
Then Laura denied she was the driver of the car that hit Michael Douglas.
Go to google, type in Laura Bush Michael Douglas
You'll see exactly what i'm talking about.
Kennedy did all of the things that Laura did not do.
Due to your many posts defending Teddy and saying it was ONLY an accident, I sent you a rather scathing post, being quite angered. Well, I went and checked out your posts on other issues and found I agreed with your ideas on many other issues. I'm sorry, and I'd like to retract my suggestions that you are a troll, out of your mind or ignorant on news and politics. Obviously I was wrong. But, now I am even more perplexed and bewildered as to your lack of acknowledgment of Teddy's crime of hiding it and not notifying authorities for many hours, trying to cover it up and pin it on someone else. Do you remember him only wearing the neck brace for court? He should've been found guilty of manslaughter, but his connections got him off! His actions explicitly showed his lack of integrity and character. Yet, he has been one of the most powerful politicians for over 30 years. He should have this thrown in his face every time he attacks someone else's views or character as he has shown zip! He has proven himself to be anti-American, anti-defense and anti-intelligence. You may have a point about how everyone harping on this, may detract from pointing out his subversive politics to the sheeple that follow and vote for him, though.
Quoted from the book "George and Laura" by Christopher Anderson
"Within moments, the young man's father came upon the scene; he happened to have been following his son, and witnessed the crash from a distance. "he saw the whole thing," Joe O'Neill said"
Laura also had a passenger in the car with her. A girlfriend named Judy. They were both taken to the Midland Memorial by ambulance.
So you see, there was no chance that Laura Bush would or could ever deny she was the driver of the car. I hope this puts this issue to rest.
Ann said, "Why" Did he or did he not kill a woman at Chappaquiddic?"
That Scumbag swam off and Left Her to Die! He walked around for Hours to sober up, and then the first person He called?.....the Police? NO, the Ambulance? No....
He called His Lawyer!
Ted Kennedy is a scummy Piece of TRASH.
Just Like Kerry, Gore, and Hiliary.
Her name is on the police report as the driver, according to snopes.com. She did not leave the scene (she was taken to the hospital, along with her passenger.)
Nobody's complaining about Teddy Bare's accident here -- although it's one thing to be talking to your passenger and miss a stop sign -- quite another to be driving wall-eyed drunk and miss a bridge. Still an accident.
The problem is what he did afterwards - the running away, sneaking around, trying to get somebody else to cover for him, and lying about the whole thing. All while the poor girl could have been saved but died a horrible death while Teddy was thinking only of his political career and how he could save his own @$$ for eight hours before he bothered to call the police.
As somebody said earlier, as soon as he passed the first house without knocking on the door and asking somebody to call for help, he became a killer.
As for my bona fides, my aunt summered on Chappaquiddick for years, she was there when it happened, and I heard the story direct from her.
"...it wasn't his intention to get in a car accident and for Mary Joe to be killed."
Maybe ahead of time, but after the accident when she was still alive and he could have gotten help for her, his action of not reporting it, is comparable to someone holding heart medicine away from a heart attack victim. Big difference from Laura Bush' accident, where it was immediately dealt with! Teddy's = manslaughter / Laura's = accident!
The story put out by a Moveon type group to trash Laura's rep, has been disproven. Check up on the victim's father. This was one of many BS stories to try to defeat Bush.
Your missing the point.
Laura went through a stop sign.
Thats why the accident happened.
The bottom line is, a teenager was killed because of that.
This has nothing to do with Moveon.
The Laura Bush story was posted on FreeRepublic years ago.
Here's an article about it from 2000 on FR
http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a3910b26e685a.htm
Here's what it says on the FR link I just posted.
At 17, Laura Bush ran a stop sign and crashed into another car, killing her boyfriend who was driving it, according to an accident report released to The Associated Press on Wednesday.
I will repeat, Laura only left her accident BY AMBULANCE and she never denied being the driver.
First mistake....why would you believe what the AP says? The boy was a FORMER boyfriend. The AP article has been disputed since it came out.
You don't see any difference between driving inexperienced and driving drunk.
I don't think Ailes sees a mainstream FNC (whether we agree with that or not, he is doing it, you need only look as far as hiring Wesley Clarke and Marvin Kalb) with someone in prime time calling Kennedy a murderer.
But we shall see.
I went to bed early and must have missed all the really good posts :)
Anyway I am glad I read this before seeing the post you are refering to above.
Thanks.
But, now I am even more perplexed and bewildered as to your lack of acknowledgment of Teddy's crime of hiding it and not notifying authorities for many hours, trying to cover it up and pin it on someone else. Do you remember him only wearing the neck brace for court?
Actually I am well aware of all these things.
I'm just tired of hearing about it from people who seem unable to articulate a coherant response to his rotten politics.
And IMHO it makes many who oppose him look like cheap shot artists.
I also think all it creates is a distraction from the real issues at hand and has little real political benefit.
Simply my observation. I've been called "stupid" on this forum myself, and I'll stack my IQ up against any such accuser without hesitation.
Maybe the good Senator from Mass. wants to come on H&C and explain his side of the story....
I doubt it.
No need to. I never disagreed with any of the points you made.
I still don't like hearing people rag on this same issue year after year...especially when it seems to be their response to EVERYTHING Ted Kennedy does or says.
I believe he really freaked out after the accident and did things many people would do in a similar situation.
And I believe deep down inside he is tormented with guilt over it...just from the way his appearance, behavior and his politics have gone down hill since.
It may have been an accident but his actions after was the tragedy. In this, he can not be forgiven nor should be.
If the Lord who judges all mankind applies your own unforgiving words to you, you have no hope.
You really should think twice before making such statements.
