No one has learned much.

They had Bernie Kerik on TV here last night. He was spouting the same rhetoric - random searches, can't be [effetely certain of safety, etc.

Why is it NOBODY is willing to see the elephant in the living room?

It isn't Norwegian, Nepalese, Lithuanians, Amazon Indians Sicilians or Asuncension Islanders doing this.

Its Muslims.

Yet here in the U.S. they are continuing with the canard that all persons should be subject to random checks, even some little old Scandinavian Lady from Minnesota.

Have we become such prisoners of political correctness that we ignore the obvious in an attempt to avoid appearing "racist", even when the lives of ourselves, our women and children, the very existence of our society and culture are at stake???

Certainly, God knows not every Muslim is involved in this or even approves of it. But the fact is the people doing this are all Muslims.

Therefore scrutiny should be directed at all Muslims, at all mosques, madrassehs, etc. No more Muslims should be permitted to emigrate to the west. No proselytizing, expel in prisons or jails by Muslims should be tolerated. All non-citizen Muslims should be required to return to their places of origin, and scrutiny should increase as the level of attacks increases.

The Saudi Wahhabist particularly should be held to account as they are the most active in spew-wing anti-western hatred.

Our ancestors would be ashamed of our failure to step up to the plate and defend our culture and society from these insane attacks.


As far as suicide bombers are concerned, it is difficult to deter them. But they come from a tribal society where family and clan are far more important than perhaps even any time earlier in the west.

When it is possible to identify a suicide bomber, his or her family should be called to account by incarceration, deportation or execution of the males as the gravity of the incident dictates. Carried out rigorously enough such a policy will do much to coerce the family of a potential suicide bomber to turn him or her in if known to them, and might even cause the bomber himself or herself to reconsider their actions.

I grieve for my British brothers, to whom we owe our society, our culture, our language and our traditions to such a very great degree.

I also grieve for my nation as I know we will be the next target and our courts and judicial system are even less capable of dealing appropriately with these fiends than is the British or continental European systems.

We must raise ourselves from our apathy, from this mad infatuation with political correctness and face the fact that we are at war and the enemy is WITHIN the gates, not at them.

yes I have she is OK, there was a fugitive roaming the corridors and the place was cordoned off, and armed police searched. She is not sure if they caught anyone. there where several repeat incidents, in the course of the shift. Where the police returned twice after previously leaving. It sounded like chaos, I bought her a ticket to stay with us for a week as she needs a vacation I think.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Police have said that the backpacks and explosives used in Thursday's attacks appear to strongly resemble the materials used in the July 7 attacks.

Two were arrested in connection to the bombings, but both were later released. One was initially detained near Downing Street, site of the prime minister's residence. The other was picked up near Tottenham Court Road, close to the Warren Street subway station where one attack took place.

Detectives are working on the basis that the bombs were not properly primed, sources told Sky News. That could explain eyewitness accounts of suspects fleeing the scenes of at least some of the blasts.

Police officials said it was too early to tell whether the failed bombings were the doings of an Al Qaeda or affiliated cell. They did say, however, that there was a "clear similarity" between Thursday's incidents and the July 7 bombings."

So you made an assumption then that my opinion was the same as the previous poster's. Any discussion of punishment in the legal system must by definition apply to the accused that have been found guilty in a court of law.

I heard this morning on the radio that the police shot one of the suspects. Shot him 5 times! Is that right or just wishful thinking on my part?

No fantasy. They were tailing a guy, he ran for it. They caught him trying to get onto a train, threw him down, sat on him and gave him five rounds rapid at close quarters.

If you pick up the BBC video feed on their website, they'll have the witnesses back on describing this shortly. He's on right now describing it.

"I saw an asian guy got on train. he was half tripped by them, there was a sort of melee, they held him down and the third guy shot him five times"

There's all kinds of other stuff going on right now. Too much to describe but lots of guys in plainclothes and cops in flak jackets running round with H&K carbines and so on.

They've also just stormed a flat near Harrow Road with some reports of half a dozen or so shots being fired.
