replacing O'Conner with even a solid conservative will NOT change the makeup of the USSC - but will only maintain the status quo.Right. Just the first step.

Live threads at FR are the BEST!! I was thinking the same thing, and this one has been more fun than usual.
I thought we were going to witness mass suicide during the first Debate live thread last year. :)

"definitely not jones, luttig, clement, ..."
They are all guessing, and there is a great Old Media "echo chamber" effect right now - much of that based on whether the proposed is in DC or not tonight. The WH has stated, "candidate may not be with the President", but they willfully refuse to take him at his word.
They were surprised about his getting the tax cut through, pushing SS reform, immigration reform, etc... just as he said he would though. Don't believe anything they say: they clearly don't take the WH at their word and their judgment is very suspect.

Sheila Jackson Lee is on with Dan Abrams using the word "ideologue" incorrectly. Someone who won't bring their "ideologue" to the court. LOL. Oh my. Bless her heart (not really). Dan Abrams always looks as though he has just smelled something terribly nasty. I hope he got that expression at the appropriate time for a change.

What is this country coming to when you can't bring your idealogue to work? Are catalogs still allowed?

Yes, Brian. I have it on good authority that Donnas Summer was seen in an evening dress heading down Pennsylvania Avenue...

Hold that thought--this just in---Jude Law is Bush's pick. He was deemed acceptable for doing the one thing all Democrats believe is the only necessary thing for being in public office--he apologized for something.
