-- Let's be really honest, if it was a "real" war, lets say the last real war WW2, his family members would be either executed on the spot or dumped in concentration camp. So called "war on terror" is a joke. |

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "(CNSNews.com) - Britain's main Muslim umbrella organization has reacted with shock to the news that police believe last Thursday's terrorist bombings in London were carried out by members of the British Muslim community rather than foreigners.
Police also said at least three of the four suspects were killed in the explosions they carried out, possibly making them the first suicide bombings in Britain's history. They are believed to be Britons of Pakistani ethnic origin.
The four bombings on three subway trains and a bus killed at least 52 people and left more than 700 injured."

"Suspected London bomb maker sought"
Newsday ^ | July 14, 2005 | BY KNUT ROYCE AND JOHN RILEY

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "British police and intelligence officials have launched a nationwide manhunt for a man identified as a likely bomb maker in last week's London attacks, who was seen on a security tape with the four suspected bombers, according to a U.S. official.
"They know who No. 5 is," said the official, who has access to substantial intelligence flowing from the bomb investigation but asked to not be identified.
The man was pictured on a closed-circuit security tape with the four bombers just before they entered London's Underground on July 7 with backpacks the police believe contained bombs. He is British and dark-skinned, apparently of Caribbean descent, the official said.
The bombers, who police believe died in apparent suicide attacks, have been identified as Britons of Pakistani ancestry. The official said the fifth man was involved in the assembly of the bombs, but British authorities do not believe he was the mastermind of the plot.
A video camera in King's Cross Station in North London captured the five men huddling together at about 8:30 on the morning of the bombings. Then, said the official, "The four goons [suicide bombers] went their way, and No. 5 went his."

The earliest memories I have of my Dad are of him doing things- like building boats ( yes, a pile of raw lumber turned, one plank at a time, into something you could sail across the sea... ), repairing radios, and cooking... despite being probably the most intelligent person I've ever known, he wasn't an "egghead" ( his favorite derisive term for people "educated beyond their intelligence ), he liked to do things.
Parents teach us more, probably than they ever know, simply by being there, and by what they do.
You're dad sounds like a great person.
In many ways, I was very fortunate- my father had retired by the time I was born, so I got both sides of parenting. My Mom was highly intelligent, but a bit hyper and flighty- Dad, on the other hand, had helped raise 11 other brothers & sisters after his father died, so he took life a lot less seriously-- they balanced each other quite nicely.
That sounds like my husband and I.
Good deal.
