"Bomb found inside police station"
ARTICLE SNIPPET: A bomb has been defused at a police station in County Tyrone.
Army technical officers carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious object in Coalisland. Police later said it had been a "viable device".
It was found on Saturday just inside the fencing at the station. Its remains have been taken away for forensic examination."
Thanks- just got finished in the shop and am getting up to speed.
Freepers who read The Threat Matrix here have seen this poster a number of times, but let's post it here again.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "THE terrorist believed to have organised last years Madrid train attacks is emerging as a figure in the hunt for the London bombers.
Spanish security sources are said to have warned four months ago that Mustafa Setmariam Nasar, a 47-year-old Syrian, had identified Britain as a likely target."
I've been planting shrubs today to create a "relaxed" hedge.
My back is screaming.
I'm ignoring it.
Ah, my dinger just went off.
Dinner is ready.

"London Blasts Triggered by Timers: Police"
Arab News ^ | 10, July, 2005 | Mushtak Parker

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "LONDON, 10 July 2005 After the carnage and the initial shock of Thursdays bombing outrage in London comes the cold sober reality of the terrorists modus operandi.
Anti-terrorist police, now assisted by Spanish counterparts who led the investigation into the Madrid bombings last year, are working on two theories that the killer devices were detonated by a number of people at the same time, or they were triggered off by timing mechanisms set to go off simultaneously.
The fact that the bombs went off seconds from each other, according to the police, suggests that the most likely method of detonation was through timing devices."

"Islamic leader warned of London attack"
LONDON, Sat:
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "An Islamic leader warned in a Portuguese newspaper interview 15 months ago that a London-based group, al-Qaeda Europe, was on the verge of a major attack.
"Here in London there is a very well-organised group, which calls itself al-Qaeda-Europe," Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed, the Syrian head of the London-based group Al-Muhajiroun, told the Portuguese daily Publico in an interview published April 18 last year.
"I know they are on the verge of launching a big operation."
Bakri, 46, is suspected of having links with Abu Qatada, the alleged al-Qaeda leader in Europe.
Speaking a month after the March 11, 2004 Madrid train bombings, Bakri said it was "inevitable" that London would be hit by a large attack "because they are being prepared by various groups"."

"Diverse mosaic of al Qaeda sympathizers make British capital their base"
ARTICLE SNIPPEET: "LONDON - On the morning after bombs ripped through the London Underground and crumpled a double-decker bus, four security guards escorted a one-eyed, Egyptian-born cleric, his arms amputated below the elbows from Afghan war injuries, onto the elevated dock of Courtroom No. 1 in Old Bailey, the capital's principal criminal court.
Abu Hamza Masri, for years a blood-curdling preacher at a North London mosque allegedly visited by shoe bomber Richard Reid and hijacker trainee Zacarias Moussaoui, listened silently Friday as his lawyer argued about his indictment last January on nine counts of incitement to murder for speeches that allegedly promoted mass violence against non-Muslims. In one speech cited in a British documentary film, Masri urged followers to get an infidel "and crush his head in your arms, so you can wring his throat. Forget wasting a bullet, cut them in half!"
Masri's case is just one of several dozen that describe the venom, sprawling shape and deep history of al Qaeda and related extremist groups in London. Osama bin Laden opened a political and media office here as far back as 1994; it closed four years later when his local lieutenant, Khalid Fawwaz, was arrested for aiding al Qaeda's attack on two U.S. embassies in Africa."

"Al Qaeda 'targeting UK recruits'"
CNN.Com - World ^ | Saturday, July 9, 2005; Posted: 11:45 p.m. EDT (03:45 GMT) | AP

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "LONDON, England (AP) -- A government-prepared dossier says that al Qaeda is targeting middle-class Britons to join its ranks, a newspaper reported Sunday.
According to The Sunday Times, the reports by the British Home Office and Foreign Office detailed how extremist recruiters were looking to Britain. The reports were drawn up in the aftermath of the March 2004 train bombings in Madrid, Spain.
Citing a copy of the secret briefing document, the paper reported that Britain could be harboring thousands of extremists, including homegrown residents who may be linked to Thursday's bombings that killed 49 people and injured 700 more.
"Extremists are known to target schools and colleges where young people may be very inquisitive but less challenging and more susceptible to extremist reason/arguments," the report says, according to the newspaper.
The report goes on to say that the likely targets come in two categories: "well-educated undergraduates with degrees or professional qualifications in engineering or IT (information technology); or underachievers with few or no qualifications and often a criminal background.""

I should have known that Backhoe would have a good list of links for the London disaster.
I had checked the link at the top of the F.R. page and it
said the keyword was "Londonattacked", and I have watched and added the keyword to many that I read.
There were more without the keyword, than with it.
Thank you for your efforts, it is an almost impossible task.
You're welcome.
Backhoe is carrying the load, to be honest about it.
Think again- the enemy is inside your gates:
