July 6, 2005 -- A racist ex-con confessed that he fatally stabbed a beloved mother of two at a White Plains mall because he wanted "to kill a white person." "She was not innocent. She was white," convicted rapist Phillip Grant confessed in a chilling videotaped statement to cops that was played in White Plains City Court yesterday — the same day victim Concetta Russo Carriero was laid to rest.
The 43-year-old homeless man told cops he had never laid eyes on Russo Carriero, 56, before he stabbed her in the chest twice last Wednesday on the seventh level of the Galleria mall garage.
"All I knew was she had blond hair and blue eyes, and she had to die . . . I didn't care, as long as she was white," he said.
"I wanted to kill someone who represented the white lifestyle."

This sort of shite happens frequently and is called crime of opportunity.
But we still beat the drum over 50-400 year old white on black crime.

The strongest political urge that nearly all white Americans have is the need to prove they are sensitive about race, ethnicity and to a lesser degree ...religion.
The urge to prove this is so strong that they stumble over themsleves to lap at the altar of political correctness.

True, and what's even more ironic is that she would not have even been on the list but for the success of the Senate compromise that most here vilified.

Hey, this is no Howard Beach or that cop-killer Mumia whatshisface in Philly! This is an average white woman who was killed for the crime of "living the white lifestyle".
This could have been my sister, my wife or my mother. If there is going to be a hate crime law and it is not applied here, then up may have become down...but I do not love big brother.

Thats because the Westchester Mall (also in White Plaines)has become the upscale mall of choice for those in that county. The Galleria is becoming like the Crossroads (?) mall in Yonkers.
