The Island is 6 to 7 miles deep by about 20 miles long

B-1 = California Lighthouse - where the boys claim they took her first after leaving the Bar.

D-3 = #4 is the location of the 2 Marriott Hotels - where the 2 brothers (and now Joran) claim they dropped Joran and Natalee off after leaving the lighthouse -  the 2 brothers claim they went home to Hooiberg after that.

D-3 = #19 is the location of the Holiday Inn where Natalee was staying.

G-5 = Where the red #2 marker is pointing to is the area that the Carlos & Charlie Bar is located

D-4 = Township of Montana is where Joran lives

F-7/8 = Hooiberg (Haystack Mountain) - The 2 Kalpoe brothers live in this area at the foot of the Haystack Mountian.

C-9 = By the Natural Bridge on the map is the location where the sharks hang out as they are fed at this location. This is the Shark Infested Feeding Area.

E-3 = Wetland in the Bird Sanctuary is the location where they found the Condoms/Condom Wrappers - Duct Tape (looked like black electrical tape to me) - Female Flowered Panties - and a String or Strap from a Bikini or Halter Top.

Some Background On Van der Sloot Family Situation Reliable, independent sources spoken with today point to what seemed like preferential treatment toward Joran v d Sloot early in the investigation which possibly contributed to difficulties now being encountered in the search and investigation as regards the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

One point made was that a search of the vehicle showed no traces of hair bel;onging to the Alabama teenager in the car driven by the Kalpoes that night, even though all known accounts place her in the vehicle at one time or another. This suggests that the car was cleaned above and beyond what one might normally expect sometime after young Natalee was known to have been inside.

That possible preferential treatment is not lost on all of the the Aruban people, many are now blaming the Van der Sloots for bringing recent troubling developments to the tiny island.

Those sentiments are being acted out in acts of vandalism, including at least one incident wherein a rock was throw through a window of their home, as well as damage to the front gate seen recently on reports on Fox News, and possibly other minor acts of vandalism as well.

Additional reports strongly suggest that prior to this incident, Paul v d Sloot was seriously considering moving his family off the island and back to his town of origin, Boxtel, cited here. The move would likely have been the result of his declining prospects for employment. It's been reported that he was offered a teaching position at a local scool, but he did not find the terms of the position acceptable. Other alleged attempts at seeking suitable employment were also said to have been unproductive.

The timing of that move would have coincided with Joran's going off to college. Now it is believed that should Joran v d Sloot be released, or found innocent of any wrong doing, it is likely the Van der Sloot family will likely make a timely move.

Brigette, if they were using GSM phones the system is slightly different, and can work in the 800, 900, 1800, and 1900 bands. Although GSM is global, different continents use different frequency bands for which GSM runs under. For that reason, certain phones which are made for one region are not compatible with another due to frequency limitations. The Motorola V600 and V620, which my wife and I use for America and Russia have quad-band capabilities which allows users to use the phone anywhere GSM is located. Quad-band GSM technology gives you the ability to stay in touch worldwide, whether you're in Chicago, Cannes or Caracas. Provided a SIM card from a local service provider is put in. We use T-Mobile in the US and MegaFon in Russia, and have SIM cards for both.

The system appears to be GSM, because they sell several GSM phones and mention SIM cards. However, I simply do not know if they have the special capabilites to trace the calls. In the US T-Mobile, Cingullar, and AT&T use GSM phones, which may give you a clue.

And in post 3268: Anna, the brothers Kalpoe were washing their car at 2 / 3am. I know that y'all have your own system, but in ours, we have to have evidence before we arrest two people for washing a car.

The car was kept clean on usual basis; Deepak didn't even like to park it at work because he didn't want it getting dirty and he didn't like Joran and Natalie kissing in the back seat, reportedly. How much trouble would it be to get just about all hair out of the car that was probably very clean to begin with. Of course, it only takes one hair...

So, we have the two brothers cleaning their car at 2 - 3 in the morning? Very scrupulous...

That he was disturbed by the way the press media handled during their search at the quarry.

He said that due to some reporters, they requested the police from Aruba to use those markerlint (those DO NOT CROSS lines) to keep everybody furter away than they first permitted.

He said also that even IF they find the body, they will pretend like they DID NOT find the body, just to return sneaky another time later, and do their job without the hindrance from the press media.

So....we'll just have to wait for more news.

Natalee's mother sleeps in Natalee's dirty t-shirt, stays in her room in Aruba and keeps the light on until she hopefully comes home.

Beth said that PVDS was sweating so much when she and Greta went to talk to him that his wife had to keep getting towels to wipe him off. It was literally rolling off of him onto the table.
