Just breaking...
"Michael Jackson sleeps with little boys and the jury thinks it is normal"
But he did not molest them... And that is the only point that was in play during this trial.
I was raised in the strictest Christian family you could ever imagine. My father always had a problem with the Bible reading passage in which the story of King David's old age was recounted. He was given a young girl to sleep with to keep him warm... Hmmm... Father always insisted that she was just a blanket for him and maybe she was! The tone of the passage is morally neutral. It is not wrong to lie beside someone in bed and sleep!
So... where does all this leave another king, the King of Pop who innocently liked to fall asleep at night with kids in his bed to keep himself childlike? I say the jury was right. MJ is innocent of molestation. The only thing he is guilty of is a lack of judgment coupled with an inability to gauge the viciousness of those determined to bring him down at any cost.
But the God of David was there for Michael today and He knows Michael's "downsitting and his uprising and understandeth his thoughts afar off." The across-the-board innocent verdict is nothing short of a miracle!
All I hope is that Michael can keep his Beatles library! Let it be....
Naw, ya sounding like the DU nuts now..
It wasen't an airtight case against him..Thats all there is to it..I'd like to see him behind bars but you have to have serious proof..The jusy seemed responsible to me .
You aren't a rich celebrity and reside in CA do you? If not, you'd probably get convicted.
Well, sure; now that a jury of his "peers" have given him his walking papers, aka license to hunt.
Yes, that juror takes the cake. I mean, what the hell is her comment supposed to mean if she thinks he's innocent?
The press asked a number of the jurors what single piece of evidence was most powerful. They each denied that any one piece of evidence was more important than any other.
One juror express outrage that the mother snapped her fingers at the jury. The juror said something to the effect, "Who the hell do you think you are lady?"
One juror sais, "It's so hard to protect your kids today with things the way they are." Yeah lady, precisely...
What do you expect a whore to say when he was cruising around in Jackson's $400,000 Mercedes limo he bought in 93, WITHOUT licenses, WITHOUT insurance, etc. and driven by a chauffeur? I wonder why Jackson hasn't been forced to buy licenses and insurance on a car that is being driven around California for over 10 years?! It couldn't be celebrity. /sarcasm
I'm a paralegal too and I'd do the same.
"Too bad I never got a Neverland(tm) coffee cup."
If you get one, run it through the dishwasher a few times.
"I have boycotted Drudge since he chose MJ as his hero."]
I have boycotted Drudge since he chose The University of Phoenix as his hero.
It would do no good. Even if it could be proven that every single juror was paid off if they tried to get that on charges they would tear apart California and probably the rest of the country as well.
Bull*hi*.
That's why I'd want a judge to decide my case, but another freeper who is an attorney thinks that's dangerous too. So, I'll just hope I'm never arrested for something I didn't do.
Honestly, I was just kidding. As much as upset I am right now... I wouldn't change thing about the jury system we have in this Country. It is the best worldwide.
I spat.
Debra Opri crowing now saying that all the Jacksons felt he would be vindicated and were not in the least anxious when they appeared in court. Hey Debra, BS!
It is the best, but I've lost faith when the defendant is a celebrity or wealthy.
"You mean because we have actual intelligence and can use it?"
No because there are a lot of people that are showing that they couldn't put their predisposed beliefs one way or the other aside and render a fair verdict in this case.
My GOD...put yourself in these people's shoes. I don't envy what they had to do. Not one bit.
Put yourself in their shoes for a minute. Let's say you had made the same decisions they did. (I know you wouldn't for realy but play along for a second)
How would YOU like to have YOUR intelligence and motives for reaching the decision you made...torn apart by a bunch of armchair QB's.
For heaven's sake we're posting the BIO'S of these people on the freking internet and ridiculing them.
Yet all of us would get quite upset and outraged if the smae thing were being done to us.
Can certainly understand and share it with you.
They said that they spent the rest of the time wading through the instructions. Now pardon me, but if the jury voted before they read the full instructions, that sounds a hell of a lot like jury misconduct to me.
None of the children testifying that Jackson molested them was given any credence at all.
Wow........you win a case on jury selection.
