Good morning, fellow political junkies. I'm starting the thread early, because I'll be out and about for much of the morning. Follow along, and comment here, as usual..
I say "Christmas in June!"
I hope the CBC tries it. I keep thinking of the Wicked Witch of the West (no, not HRC,-- the original one, in the movie!) saying, "Just try it... just try!"
Is anyone allowed to just walk onto the floor? I thought one could get arrested for that sort of thing?
Or smell something else. Something that blabby has to generate no small amount of flatulence.
I am with you.
52-46-2
I believe if they could see what has happened to the party in the last few years they might understand. Some of them though would tar and feather me and disown me for good measure.
When we switched parties, we sashayed(well I sashayed, hubby doesn't go in for that) down to the courthouse and changed the D to an R on our registration cards. The lady that handed us our new cards, smiled, winked, and said welcome aboard. I'll never forget that.
I'm back!
There probably is some kind of rule---after all the Senators always as for a UC when they want a different aide on the floor...BUT,
How are the CBC gonna have an impact in the parking lot?
Well folks I'm trying to keep a running total of vote picks for today. I must say that so far, we're not terribly optimistic about a landslide! Let me know if I missed anyone:
dubyaismypresident: 55 AYE
Chuck54: 54-44-2
kitten1: 54-43-3
LisaFab: 58-41-1
JustaCowgirl: 52-45-3
Kerretarded: 52-46-2
Fudd Fan (me): 53-44-3
True, they'll get arrested and we will be off to the races then!
Wow, what a setup. Puts my Dora the Explorer clock, and Mickey Mouse lamp on my desk to shame. :-)
If the CBC did that it would be like Christmas in June!
Remember if someone is not a Communist, Socialist and actually believes in the US Constitution, then they are an extremist according to this bunch.
I'll say 60-37-3
Welcome back---we were just pondering if the CBC is going to try something this afternoon to show their displeasure with Justice Brown...
I am hoping so, because these senators are just repeating the same old speeches...except every once in a while you get Hatch or Gordon Smith veering off course and taking on Howard Dean instead...YAY
We'll have to wait and see if he's still proud of what he did the next time he is up for reelection.
I bet my Spongebob Squarepants mouse pad would fit right in your computer room!!!
I will not predict an exact number, but, I will predict that Byrd and Landrieu will vote Aye. I predict Chafee will vote against. It should be closer that the Owen vote.
If the CBC did do something "drastic", my 2 sons would have a hard time picking me back up from the floor laughing!
Cheney vote in case of a tie??
