Good morning, fellow political junkies. I'm starting the thread early, because I'll be out and about for much of the morning. Follow along, and comment here, as usual..
Isn't there always.
The three will protect me!
Orrin Hatch is reved up this afternoon!
Go Orrin Go!
That's total proof that you get what you pay for:
Last I heard, his check goes to the Joseph P. Kennedy Foundation, which (according to their website) funds things for the retarded. (Nothing to individuals AFAIK.)
Hatch just called Dean a raving idiot?
he did ..... dang ..... go Orrin!
What I hated about Warner's speech, was the time he took for patting himself on the back for being in that blasted Gang of 15!
Hatch - telling it like it is!
You gotta love him!
I have become a Republican.
I'll have alot of explaining to do when I see them in the hereafter. :-)
You and me both!! My Dad was a Union President, dyed in the wool Democrat. But in my heart I don't know that he would still be a Dem.....of course I still haven't had the nerve to change my registration, I'm still a registered Dem who hasn't voted for a Dem since Reagan's time, when I began to consider myself a Reagan Democrat. Guess I'm afraid my Dad will haunt me if I actually REGISTERED as a Repulican! Old habits die hard!!
"I vote for 52-45-3. I'm not as optimistic as all of you, but I am hoping that there will be enough Democrats voting yes to overcome any ding-dong Republicans, like Snowe, Collins, Voinovich, McCain, Specter."
Senator Specter strongly supports Judge Brown.
It's so much better when it comes from someone so dignified!
she can't be prez, she was born in Canada
Rush just predicted that perhaps the CBC will march on the Senate this afternoon to try to block the Brown vote. What say ye all? I hope Brown gets confirmed today!
Do we have a time estimate for the vote?
Rush believes the Libs are going to break their agreement before 5PM today. What do you all think. If so, then its Nuclear Option time.
There are other Senators who don't pick up their checks either. I saw an article on them in (IIRC) the Washington Post a few years ago, but his is the only name I remember.
5:00 PM EST
That's excellent news, one less RINO to worry about.
I do more and more! He's taking the wood to the Democrats!
I am praying that the CBC marches right into the Senate and has a sit-down strike---that would be great theater, and would show the country what idiots they are...
The vote is at 5:00 edt, so they will have to plan it for before that time...
C'mon CBC, show the world how hypocritical you are!!!
