But how solid a deal is it really? If the Dems start a filibuster and the GOP interprets it to not be 'extraordinary circumstances', the agreement seems to read that the GOP is no longer committed to not changing the Senate rules.
You sound like me. I'm doing the same thing...
LOL...me too, but it's not the end of the world.
Has anyone given any thought to what would have happened if Frist pressed the nuclear button and we didn't have the votes?
"Well .. you can be guaranteed McCain has just totally ticked off the base. How does he plan to run for president without us ..??"
By being H3ll's Veep.
Mailbox full!!!~ LET'S KEEP IT THAT WAY UNTIL HE'S OUT OF THE SENATE!!
After a few deep breaths (and a cigar), that's how I'm seeing it.
If they hate it (DU) then it must be good for us.
Time alone.....will tell!
If that is the case, then I expect Bush to work the phones all night tonight and dissuade his party members from taking this deal. Right?
Lindsay (never gets another of my votes) Graham IS there.... and currently on CNN live
I know what Graham's problem is.
His fear is more about himself than the result of overturning this little rule.
"How does he plan to run for president without us?"
Third party?
Of course, he better watch his back. He's the only politician that the MSM adores more than Hillary. She's not going to like sharing the adulation.
>>For their part, Republicans agreed not to support an attempt to strip Democrats of their right to block votes.<<
Oops. You are right. That sentence makes it a republican cave.
Ox do I want to click on that link..will it piss me off?
Lindsey Graham was willing to SUE THE SENATE!
You can tell he's a damn lawyer.
UGH!!!
I cannot continue to post without grossly violating the rules of this forum. I want to take a baseball bat and......
It's easy. It's all about trust. Thats what they said at the press conference. Everyone knows we can always trust any polititian to do what he or she says. (SARCASM)
You can kiss Frist goodbye, too! I'm tired of gutless RINOS country club republicans. Might as well swear in Hillary. At least we know what we got!
Yeah, but they're given a different deal
