Big deal. I will bet you a month's salary the Democrats won't even give a single nominee an up or down vote.
My money will go to whoever runs against these RINO's when the run for re-election!!

Someone said they saw him standing in the rear although I haven't seen him. To hear foxnews explain it, the dems blinked and the GOP will get three of the most conservative nominees on the bench -- emphasizing they were the three that the dems "for months and months anguished over". Why am I not feeling any satisfaction?
My concern is that the Republicans on the compromise are all the RINOs that I've never trusted. I still don't trust them.

listening to Major Garrett, if Bush gets the three most conservative on the bench and keeps nominating judges of the same cloth. The Dems are going to have a tough time blocking future nominations.
So where was Frist during this big announcement? Is McCain Majority Leader now?

Okay...it might not be so bad in the short haul.....these 7 Dems agree to vote for cloture for Brown & Owens (maybe Pryor??) .....The next question is what will they do when there is a SC nominee?

Brown, Owens, and Pryor get voted up or down. The rest will still be subject to what we are going through at the moment. This means that the so-called "Nuke" option is still on the table.

WASHINGTON - Centrists from both parties reached a compromise Monday night to avoid a showdown on
President Bush's stalled judicial nominees and the Senate's own filibuster rules, officials from both parties said.
These officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the agreement would clear the way for yes-or-no votes on some of Bush's nominees, but make no guarantee.
Under the agreement, Democrats would pledge not to filibuster any of Bush's future appeals court or Supreme Court nominees except in "extraordinary circumstances."
For their part, Republicans agreed not to support an attempt to strip Democrats of their right to block votes.
Under the agreement, Texas Supreme Court Justice Priscilla Owen, nominated to a seat on the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans, would advance to a final confirmation vote.
Senate Republican leader Bill Frist has made her a test vote in a bruising showdown over the fate of several appeals courts nominees that Democrats blocked in the past and had threatened to block again.
