Jane Fonda talks about how she is 'riveted' by faith and why feminism is what Jesus taught
From her longtime political activism to her Oscar-winning acting, Jane Fonda has never done anything halfheartedly, and she brings this characteristic intensity to her faith. When she talks about "feeling the presence of the Almighty," her view of Jesus, and the way she prays, her voice wells from deep within her chest. You may know this voice from her films (among dozens of others: Barbarella, Klute, On Golden Pond, and currently in theaters, Monster-in-Law), or from her aerobics videos ("feel the burn!"), or from film reels from the sixties, when she spoke out against the Vietnam War. Fonda, now 67, spoke with us recently about her spirituality.

I wonder where her spiritual vaction home is.

this ass can go stand in a garage....does that make her a car ??

If she is a Christian, I'm from a small planet near Betelgeuse. As far as I know, she's only had the one head and the two arms, nor has she ever referred to herself as "Phil".

I just remembered: John Kenneth Galbraith. Here are some quotes, although he has more "winners" than these:
"The man who is admired for the ingenuity of his larceny is almost always rediscovering some earlier form of fraud. The basic forms are all known, have all been practiced. The manners of capitalism improve. The morals may not."
"Liberalism is, I think, resurgent. One reason is that more and more people are so painfully aware of the alternative."
"It would be foolish to suggest that government is a good custodian of aesthetic goals. But, there is no alternative to the state."
Interesting article on Galbraith.

I am willing to bet that Hanoi Jane agrees with Galbraith and would probably take things a step further (outright Communism).

>>Jane, you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
There's a book or movie quote for every situation!

Some years ago I remember reading that Jane Fonda had become a Christian, but no details were available at the time. "Time will tell," I thought.
Well, as the saying goes, "The devil is in the details", and now we know. In 2Tim 3:6, Paul talks of false prophets in the end times who ...creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts... Poor Jane seems to fit the bill as one of those "silly women."

Little Janie knows a few of the cliches of religiosity and "churchianity," but throughout her interview, she has absolutely no reference to Christ. Actually she says that Christ is what attracted her to Christianity rather than Buddhism or what have you. And she says she believed she was saved -- so according to our good Protestant friends she has sealed her place in Heaven already.

"First Hillery, now Jane. What is the deal with these leftest broads?"
Remember when Hillery was running for the Senate in New York, with it's large Jewish population? She said that she had Jewish blood in her veins. Both of them are opportunists.
As for Jane, I would not be surprised to see her go into politics in some really liberal state. But she will ever escape the Vietnam vets. We know her for who and what she really is and we will make her life as miserable as she has made others. We are watching you Jane.

You going to catch the movie this weekend?

Give me a major break! She's a Christian but writes a kiss and tell book with embarrasing details of her many marriages, blames her dad for what a loser she is and still won't apologize to the Vietnam Vets for being a traitor! Yeh, she's quite a Christian. Nice label any way!
