I pray he is right, but what about the polls? They indicated a greater number supporting the tube being pulled.

I pray that poll was wrong.

I don't believe in any of the polls anymore. Especially after you find out what questions they ask.

Forget the polls. Truth will out in the end - but only after a major fight.

If murder of the sick and disabled becomes the norm in America, it will fall as a civilization.

I agree. I was surprised to see the fox news poll. I walked around today thinking that we should be hanging our heads in shame while apparently most people thought that an act of mercy had been committed. huh?

"I pray that poll was wrong."

The people I have talked with, who believed the tube should be pulled were entirely ignorant of the issue at hand. They quickly changed their minds once they heard a chronology of events.

The task now is to inform others so that this dreadful deed is never repeated.

Hearts and minds will be changed in the future.

The polls are all on the MSM news, which most conservatives do not read.

The poll was probably right, but I'm not sure that contradicts Limbaugh's point.

The moderates won this ining because they had the better pitcher, but they played in a way sure to produce no paying spectators. The enablers of the goon squad are not capable of generating positive fervor, as it regards this murder they refer to as a mercy killing.

They haven't got the energy, death and the love of death provide nothing but negative, depleting energy. Did you see The Passion of the Christ? If so, the enablers are like the baby the devil was holding in its arms, their fervor was conceived, born and delivered in the pit. They can burrow further down, but they cannot rise above.

And those that are ambivalent? They are the same as those Germans who never actually participated in the Holocaust but went along to get along.

The polls be damned on right and wrong. You fight for what is right regardless.

However, the polls have been dropping from their highs in the 70-80% since this started. Why? Education of the facts. We keep defending Right and the public will eventually get the message.

Did you believe the polls prior to the 2004 elections. They were all wrong and deliberately so. What makes you think they were legit this time around?

Go to www.lauraingraham.com and look for the article by Michelle Malkin on the MSM. You can get a poll to turn out how you want it by the questions and how they are worded.

Bah on the polls!

The MSM are almost in unison so passionately anti-Terri Schiavo and so blindly pro-Michael Schiavo they think every one else in America is too; hence the "polls" that support their views. They're not going to advertise poll results to the contrary and admit that they are on the wrong side of the issue. They have so mis-represented both sides to Michael's advantage, which explains the huge support for Michael Schiavo.

This is a terrible thing to say. Maybe these polls were among likely dead voters with the last name Harris in the state of Washington. No offense to Washingtonians meant.

I think after some time people will think about what they have supported.

Take the poll then and see if their is still the same cold hearted support for the culture of death crowd.

I can already sense that some are rethinking her state sponsored killing.

Ah, it was long past time for Terri to pass from this earth. Yes, her death should be mourned, but we also must recognize that sometimes death is a blessing.

For someone in her condition, I believe it was a blessing...

Do not woory about the polls. It all is dependent on the way the question is aked. I believe there is a HUGE silent majority out there and they are p.o.ed like I am!

They didn't have the true information. Do not let the polls discourage you. First, we are the silent majority, and second, we need to raise the conciousness of those who are misled.

NOBODY talked about this at work, but I have sensed it was on people's hearts. Today I was in another office and someone called out "Terri Schiavo Died", and I heard a collective "Ohhhhh!" and I knew everyone was deflated.

"I pray that poll was wrong."

All in how you phrase the questions, friend. All in how you phrase the questions........

Let me write the polling questions, and I swear I can show you how 75% of Americans think Hitler was a swell guy.

I too pray he is right and the polls are wrong.

But let us apply to and in the public discourse the distinction I have been making concerning the aspect of Judge Greer's edict which was morally wrong, but perhaps correct under the law (i.e. pulling the feeding tube) and the aspect which was manifestly wrong both morally and as a point of law: the ban on any attempt to provide sustainence orally.

The media and the polls have falsely framed this as a 'right to die' case, falsely protrayed Terri Schindler as having been 'brain dead' for years, and focused on the feeding tube. The poll questions conflate the answers of those who actually support this judicial murder and would like to be rid of inconveninent family members should they ever be 'burdened' with the care of an incapacitated spouse or parent, with those who are thinking "I wouldn't want to live like that" on the basis of the false notion of Terri's brain death.

Doubtless most of us on this board would not want our body to be sustained by machinery if we really were brain dead (in an extreme example if our still warm headless corpse was picked up and hooked to machines to preserve cellular and organic life at great expense after an Islamist had beheaded us).

We must see to it that the public debate centers on the failure of the court to follow the legal understanding of brain death, the failure of the court to recognize the unsuitablity of an adulterous husband as a guardian for an incapacitated wife, and the issuance by the court of orders contravening Florida statutes by forbidding natural, non-medicalized feeding of Terri Schindler. A spoonful of broth is not an extraordinary medical intervention!

They might just have awakened the sleeping giant of the Culture of Life

the poll questions were skewed to bring about the desired results.

This is not a political issue - it crossed the lines of politics and religion.

if we don't fall asleep at the wheel now, we can keep the momentum going and swing this country back from the abyss

"I pray he is right, but what about the polls? They indicated a greater number supporting the tube being pulled."

Did any of you do the polls? I looked for them, but found none. They pulled them pretty quick, since they were sure that the majority of their regular readers were for pulling the tube, they didn't wait for us to find them and freep them. Those polls can be done by anybody, as often as they want. So, the significance of them is nil.
