Man arrested for Michael Schiavo threat

A man has been arrested and charged with offering a $250,000 reward for killing Michael Schiavo.

Richard Alan Meywes was arrested in Fairview, North Carolina by the FBI and the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office.

On March 23, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office forwarded an email to the FBI in Tampa which purportedly offered a $250,000 bounty on "the head of Michael Schiavo." The email placed an additional $50,000 bounty for the elimination of a judge who recently denied a request to intervene in the Schiavo case.

I do agree with you that MS is the crux of all of this, but he is using "The Man" to kill her so I see the judges just as culpable. As to his girlfriend, I would do what you suggested, pack the kids and hide, learn self defense too.

I bet that he never again has a normal life. Unless he moves to a remote island.

I imagine he will be facing a wrongful death lawsuit, when all is said and done.

"Well, I'm thinking about chucking the death penalty too for the same reason. I'm also rethinking various parts of the Patriot Act as well. The courts are corrupt."

For me, it came down to a jury I served as Foreman on 10 years ago. It was an attempted murder case, and the state had NO interest in justice... Just a conviction. They knew dam well he wasn't guilty. He was charged with it because he refused to plea bargain on a drug charge.

It became crystal clear to me of how easy it is for them to get a conviction, regardless of the evidence.

Do you know how the Cruzan Foundation fits into that web of "accellerated death with dignity?"

Did it occur to this man for one minute that he may be extradicted to Florida to face the Florida Courts. Whoa, talk about a conflict of interest from which the honourable FL judiciary will not excuse itself ...

Please FRmail Constitution Day OR TaxRelief if you want to be added to or removed from this North Carolina ping list.

"Cruzan Foundation"

I have read of it only this week. Ramping up fast here. It's not pretty. We'd better all ramp up, fast, and get the hell out of Florida or any state like it, like Oregon.

Heheheheh. It's better to just assume the states are uniform in this regard. A more reliable course is self-sufficiency, willingness to use $$ to order doctors around, and a family or circle of trusted friends that has sound ethics.

Yes. The utopia he has imagined after his wife's death will be as brief as Peterson's.

"I can see how the judge could order that the tube be removed since that is considering (incorrectly, I think) extraordinary medical means, but how can anyone legally order withholding food and water by mouth? If she can eat, she's not PVS, if she can't, what's the harm of trying? He ordered this all to be done until she "is dead"."

That is the question that is most significant and one I have never heard asked of any pundit/doctor/"journalist" yet. Schiavo contends that Terri told him nearly 2 decades ago that she specifically did not want to be kept alive by a feeding tube. The tube has been removed, why has she not been allowed to be fed or at least been given water orally? According to a nurse's affidavit, many years ago, Terri was able to consume finely ground food orally without any problem until her guardian discovered she was being fed orally and insisted that Terri be fed via the feeding tube ONLY. What is the harm in trying? Would it be an insurrmountable set-back for Terri's guardian if Terri showed that she indeed could swallow? Tests have been curtailed long ago by her guardian, so the honorable Judge Greer has no idea what Terri is capable of.

The judicial order was to remove the feeding tube. I cannot deem this case anything less than judicially assisted homicide when the judge does not insist that Terri at least be given the opportunity to be fed by mouth. Aside from Felos' and Greer's conflicts of interest involving their association with the pro-euthanasia hospice in which Terri was placed (improperly, I might add), there are a myriad of questions that a complete and impartial review of this case by a federal court would have answered.

Unfortunately, the victim of the improprieties of this case will never live to see justice served.

God bless Terri and may He grant her the eternal salvation she deserves.

Was a time when a jerk of a judge like Greer would be taken out on a dark night and tarred and feathered

That is exactly what the mafia did with judges, and the Muslim terrorist are doing around the world. Fundamentalism causes people to be intolerant. That also apply to Christian Fundamentalism.

Keep our cool hell.

My ggggrandfathers shot Redcoats in the Revolution and in 1812. Their sons shot Mexicans in 1836 and 1845. Then yankees. There is a great difference in the law and justice, and I far prefer justice when the law fails to protect us.

That's nice, my family was in all those wars too.
Now, are you seriously advocating armed insurection against The United States, or are you just full of shit?

"How much do Terri's executioners get?"

Probably a multi million dollar book deal and made for TV mini-series!

I bet his fiance has something to do with his decision to kill Terri instead of divorcing her. She's probably planning a big wedding and wants to have it in a church which wouldn't be possible if Mr. Creep was divorced.I'm sure she's sparing no expense since she's most likely using Terri's therapy money to pay for it.She better remember to write a living will before the marriage reaches the five year mark when the creep becomes board with her.

That's just what I was thinking, well without the mini series,a book for sure about how he fought fanatics (her parents) for years to end Terri's "suffering".

"Now, are you seriously advocating armed insurection against The United States, or are you just full of shit?"

I'm not. But I can forsee a new rise in the militias, more civil disobedience, and a bran new anti-establishment movement that can lead to conservative instability if an innocent woman is slowly tortured to death by the 'Almighty Law'.

There is no way of convincing people that this can happen in the USA without some safeguard.

I have found new hope, however.
