Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

Who asks to be dehydrated till they die? Your skin cracks and bleeds as does your tongue and lips. Your stomach dries till you vomit blood. Even your eyes dry out. Who's idea of peace is THAT?
These aren't her "end of life" wishes. She's young and Schiavos attorney, Bushnell, stated, "Terri's a healthy woman". She's not old. She's handicapped and being forced to die.

You know what really stuck in my craw? Right before the discussion about Terri started, they had a quick vote to recognize March 29 as FSU day. After it was voted on, King stood up to announce the festivities for FSU day and made sure that everyone knew about the buffet and other free food that was going to be available in the rotunda. He was actually fretting over people getting to eat before going on his rant against Terri.
Bah. I'm not getting worked up again. I was just amazed by the level of evil in that room.
