Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
You are right. God is not at all pleased!!!!!!
If it is a felony than why is Greer allowing Terri to die this way? it makes no sense! I don't understand why the DOJ is not on top of this and taking Greer off the bench right now! Has everyone just turned a blind eye to this? I guess we need to remind them.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Love hopes for all things...believes all things.
Father God, move mightily in Florida today.
Awaken YOUR LOVE AND COMPASSION in the Hearts of the PRESIDENT, the GOVERNER...any who might come forth to help.
WITH ONE VOICE WE CRY TO YOU TO SAVE TERRI, WHO IS BELOVED OF GOD.
HOW CAN WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE--FOR THE GIFT OF YOUR PRECIOUS SON JESUS WHO POURED OUT HIS BLOOD TO SAVE US FROM OUR SINS.
STRENGTHEN AND SUSTAIN TERRI AND ALL YOUR CHILDREN AS WE CELEBRATE THE MIRACLE OF EASTER.
Grant us Your mercy, grace and peace. Let us go forth stronger than before, united in Christ's Redeeming Love.
In Jesus' Name. Amen.
"There is no doubt that this is a murder by the state. To deny a person water was against the law in this country until now. Now it is legal via the courts of the U.S."
You are right.
And unfortunately we all must realize that this is not only murder by the judiciary, but by the executive as well. I know many love the Bushes, but when someone you love does something this wrong - true love calls it what it is.
If the president and the governor truly believe they have no authority to use executive order in this case, then I'd like to see one of their lawyers try to debate Dr. Alan Keyes on the subject.
It's easy to wash your hands of something as Pilate did, but you cannot excuse your actions by saying the Constitution allows the judiciary to run roughshod over the executive branch.
The legislative branch was run over roughshod and they will probably deal with it in time, although it is highly puzzling that they did not order Judge Greer de-throned the minute he was found to be in Contempt of Congress.
It appears that regular citizens who break the law by trying to give Terri water are dealt with more swiftly by the police state than Judge Greer is.
It was the VIDEOS of Rodney King beating that burned Los Angeles. I cannot imagine the media saying, " Ya know, we ought not to show these horrible videos......it might not be pleasing to the public eye"!!!
O Lord, have mercy on the hardness of our hearts
gloating over the death of the most vunerable of the weak.
Jesus Christ, son of the living God,
have mercy on us.
Jesus Chrsit, son of the living God,
have mercy on us.
Jesus Christ, son of the living God,
have mercy on us.
Then they also will answer, `Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to thee?'
Then he will answer them, `Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.'
And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." Matthew 25:44-46
No. He has stated as much as of late yesterday.
Those are the ones........thanks so much for posting them!
The cartoonist's explanation of the picture (posted in 'Today's Toons):
To: pookie18
A bottle of Vinegar and a sponge on the bed to clean the window that the viewer is looking though ..Vinegar is Gaul or sour wine, which was offered to Christ on a sponge when He said 'I thirst.' Terri is dying of dehydration. The shadow of the crossbars of the window 'crucifies' Terri. I know my toons can be a bit obtuse so I thought I'd explain. God bless. Thanks, Pookie!

Enjoy your lunch.
"Christa Carpenter"
Another beautiful, symbolic name...
There are more republicans than democrats in Pinelas county.
The question becomes how do we focus "anger" into a recall election?
REcall for Greer specifically.
At this point, I have just about lost any hope that Jeb is going in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I pray that today, a miracle of God's Grace will change Jeb's heart. I know there are differences of opinion on this , but I believe he should go ahead and go on in for rightousness sake. This is just my opinion, and don't want to start a debate. I am too weary at this point to even argue the fact!!
You said: "IN the USA, there will be those who still remember Terri who will take actions in the US Government in order to never again let this travesty of law happen."
My friend, I sincerely wish that statement could be true.
But when you consider how most Americans have shoved the horrors of abortion into a closet - no, this is part of the reason the governor and president are not worried about their careers.
They see how easily people overlook their sin of omission.
Rush recently said that this week will be very hard for many of us, but the next time it will be easier. And the next and the next and the next, it will get even easier - just as the idea of abortion has. :o(
Terri is just a late term abortion.
