Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
My new litmus test, as well.
Frightening. And my children will have to endure horrors greater than I will probably ever be able to imagine...that's what truly frightens me...

Missed you too. Was gone some myself, but when online, I saw no sign of tutstar. You left a big hole. Terrible news, but we know no court has or apparently ever will rule against Greer.

This is the truth. It has been very clear that Greer was biased in favor of MS ever since I started tracking this....Not knowing Florida law, I would say there has been a tendency to review the decisions he made as being within the acceptability of Florida law and thus legal.
If it's not just the good old boy patting each other on the back, then there is something rotten in the legal code in Florida...and if it's in the judiciary itself, Floridians need to start working on that, at the ballot box, by pushing the truth forward, by not giving up the effort to get the corruption revealed. Hard work, but the only things that can change the darkness.
I'm a bit behind in reading posts but I totally agree with your #3511 Knitting. Well thoughtout and coherent.
I vascilate between fighting for all I'm worth (I could type more letters and send more $ - but I'm in the top 1% of givers and I have sent enough letters out that I'm justified in complaining) and just letting it "happen" but in reflection the one thing I can do more of is PRAY!
My fear is that bitterness and recrimination may poison many hearts and allow the enemy of our souls even more freedom.
I grieve for Terri, her family and for our nation. These are dark hours indeed.
There's a special blessing promised to those who read the book of Revelations. You should do it.
And read Isaiah, Daniel and Ezekiel while you're at it.
thank You for all those who have come together to pray for Terri, both at hospice and at a distance. Please give us comfort and strength and discernment as we stand for Terri. We know that the gates of hell do not prevail against You, and we take comfort in that.
Help Terri's body to remain strong and to fight off the effets of dehydration and starvtion ... we know she has a strong will to survive.

I heard there was only one state that didn't allow death by dehydration, and that was Illinois. We have our work cut out for us.
End of Revelation...the battle of Armegeddon in the Valley of Megiddo...it has a history as one of the bloodiest valleys in history even now. Revelation can be a bit confusing -- a great deal of it is symoblism, while much else of it is John trying to describe things that didn't exist yet in his time, so it SOUNDS like symbolism but isn't (for instance, it is evident when he is describing nuclear attacks and even, I'm convinced, tanks and helicopters, but never having seen these things he resorts to saying things like, "I saw something that looked LIKE.... There are several different views of when the rapture will occur. My belief is pre-tribulationism, but it's an in-house debate (I was moderator on a very large Pre-trib board for several years). My recommendation is to buy anything by Hal Lindsey, who is the best known writer on pretribulationism if you'd like to learn more.
Whichever view point is correct...we are very, very close.
I have read the Daniel, Isaiah and Ezekial and Revelations. But it confounds my understanding, especially Revelations, so I can't remember the last time I read that Book....I'm thinking at least 15 years ago. But I do believe I need to start reading it, very soon.

Didn't see it myself, but Bobby came on after Felos and called him a liar for saying Terri never looked more beautiful than while starving and dehydrating, and that she seems peaceful. Other than that I haven't heard, and I haven't been able to stomach the new, myself...
