Mod note: Calls for violence will result in suspensions
Michael Schiavo has filed a petition with the Supreme Court asking them to stay out of the case.
he is a constitutional scholar. your credentials?
You are so right.
Frightening, isn't it?!
Do calls for violence against Terri Schiavo result in suspension?
Well, they're just pre-emptive kind of guys.
That's coming.
We won the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections. Every Congressional election since 1994 has resulted in us having a majority in both houses of Congress. But that doesn't matter. Now we know who really controls this country. It's going to take a lot to get me to vote ever again.
Hello ? I was just telling anyone on the thread who might be interested in seeing Judge Bork that he was on Fox News and what he was saying.
"Any of us freepers who have got balls realize that Jeb is showing the world he has none."
The Governor has done everything he can legally do. Being Governor of a state is not a single-issue job. He tried his best to find a way to end this. He failed. The legislature did not act. The DCF is enjoined not to act.
A Governor may not act illegally, or he can count on losing his job. It's that simple. Vilifying Jeb Bush does nothing to advance any cause.
Yeah. That's funny.
One man's riot is another man's protest.
And that method of coomunication seemed to have done wonders for Yushenko supporters.
Sometimes you just gotta grab your government by the throat, and remind them of who's boss.
I'm hearing a backlash (on talk radio and even here) regarding this lack of action especially after the "bravado" of a special press conference yesterday to purposely tell people that it would be legal to take Terri into protective custody.
And thus the line is moved closer to Nazi Germany, circa 1942 (we're at 1935 now). The only difference is that there is nobody outside the borders willing and able to put a stop to it, only those bickering over who is next.
They're pseudo-human
Why should anyone be surprised that courts that condone sucking the brains out of defencless babies would have a problem with starving a defenceless woman to death? This was a done deal from the get go. I expect starving centers to spring up all over the country. After all caring for a unwanted/defenceless family member is at least as big a drag as having a to care for an unwanted/defenceless baby.
"You do know that Greer was reelected in 2004." In Florida the judges are ALWAYS reelected.
When the same United States Supreme Court that wrote a Constitutional right to anal sex into U.S. law refuses to take on a case like this with major life-and-death implications, I'd say the U.S. Supreme Court has no legitimate reason to exist.
I've just cancelled the Florida trip I planned for later this year, and as Freepers are my witness I will say that I'll take a vacation in Fallujah before I ever set foot in that state again.
Here Here!
Judging on how the situation escalated in several well-known 1960s civil rights cases in the South, with people denied the individual protection of the United States Constitution...
State Troopers, dispatched by the Governor of Florida
Federal Marshals, dispatch by the President of the United States
Failing those things, the death of Terri Schiavo.
That is exactly what should happen. Good Point!
