Michael Schiavo has filed a petition with the Supreme Court asking them to stay out of the case.
Please stop with this hyperbole. It is not helpful.
Your quality of life and meaning are now determined by the whims of judges. This is a sad day for America.
Greer is next. He is going to rule today by noon if the state can take Terri! And we all know how he is going to rule now don't we!

As far as I'm concerned, those police are just as culpable as the Nazi soldiers who followed the "I'm just doing my job" crap.
This is not a surprise. Since the SCOTUS has refused to hear this case before, in earlier stages, it would be incredible if they took it on now.
The legal battle is now done, and things will take their course. There may be future cases come out of this whole thing, but that remains to be seen.
I don't get these pre-emptive legal actions, M. Schiavo's or Greer's. Normally you would wait until someone brings a case to court against you to respond but especially in Judge Greer's case you don't issue rulings in expectation that another arm of government might act against a previous ruling you made. It reeks of paranoia.

Gov. Bush and the DCF are Mrs. Schiavo's last hope. I pray that the Gov. was just waiting to see what the SCOTUS would do before he intervened. Gov. Bush is in an extemely difficult position, but this is why he was elected. I pray that God gives him the stength and courage to do what must be done.
Maybe Ashley Smith could talk Michael Schiavo into walking away from all of this. She talked one monster into not killing any more people. Maybe she could be an angel for Terri too.
I just heard breaking news that they said NO ..they aren't taking the case......is it over then?
I don't know if that was supposed to be funny or not, but to me it sounds rather classless.
There are not enough explitives to be invoked for this. When in the course of Human events it becomes necessary for Citizens to kick butt...
