[history]
Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.

Greer already refused to give DCF time to investigate. Why should he give them any time now? New allegations? So what?

I agree and I think DCFS will go in today at some point and get her out, they were just waiting for every legal option to happen before they acted. Shame that it has come to this, but the fact is if DCFS does not interven Terri will die!

Jeb Bush can save Terri
and win the presidency

Terri Schindler-Schiavo is a brain-damaged woman being denied her right to life. She does not deserve a painful execution we wouldn't even subject our dogs or criminals to. If Florida's Gov. Jeb Bush will exercise the authority available to him now and required of him to save Terri, he will ensure a victorious run for the White House in 2008.
Section 2 of the constitution of the state of Florida states:
All natural persons, female and male alike, are equal before the law and have inalienable rights, among which are the right to enjoy and defend life and liberty ... No person shall be deprived of any right because of ... physical disability.
Jeb Bush has all the authority he needs right now to remove Terri from those who would kill her and save her life. Indeed, his oath of office requires it:
I, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, protect and defend the Constitution and government of the United States and of the state of Florida ...
What part of these words do Jeb Bush and the black-robed high priests with pretensions of godhood not understand? This issue could not be more clear.
Terri Schiavo is being killed because she is inconvenient. If Terri is allowed to live, every disabled person among Florida's substantial retirement community will be protected against having their lives and their Florida Medicare payments terminated by highly compromised politicians. Additionally, Terri was injured under suspicious circumstances that have not been properly investigated. If her adulterous husband has his way, we'll very likely never find out the truth.
If Terri dies, America dies with her. Nobody in this nation will ever be safe again because anyone who is inconvenient who might cost the state too much money, who is a "burden" on others, who is genetically undesirable, who is (fill in the blank) will be subject to the whims of judicial arrogance.
When Roe v. Wade became law many years ago, pro-life activists warned about situations like Terri Schiavo's. They were ridiculed as extremists. What Terri Schiavo's death will lead to could eventually make Hitler's Nazi Germany look like Disneyland by comparison. God have mercy on America if this evil is allowed to stand.
If Gov. Bush will confront this evil by sending in the state police or national guard to protect Terri, he will be remembered for his courage and integrity. Moreover, his commitment to his oath of office and to protecting the citizens under his care will likely ensure him a successful run for the White House in 2008. The publicity value of his actions alone will guarantee that his name will become a household word in America as the dwindling pro-death crowd hiss about him and those who value life praise him.
If, on the other hand, Jeb Bush fails to protect Terri, her blood is on his hands and America will not forget his moral cowardice.

The emergency provisons in the DCF statutes allows them to take an individual into protective custody and explain their actions at a hearing to be held later. As well, if there is suspicion that the legal guardian is complicit in the reasons the individual needs to be taken into custody the guardian can not stop the move.
Jeb has done an end run around Greer and let the legislature vote itself out of the process, and he did it with existing Florida law. If they can get Terri out of there fast this just may work out yet.

Gal, we must keep our hands up, like Moses did during the battles of Israel. Remember, when he dropped his arms, the Israelites started to lose....when he kept them in the air, they lost! His arms got so tired. So, his friends held the arms up.
Oh my goodness! This came to me when I was in the closet and I lifted my hands. (I feel a little odd admitting it). I can't believe you said this.
