If that is true, how do we know if we as citizens of the U.S. have a right to life? Has it been taken away?

Sorry, but I'm not really sure what you want me to explain to you. Moreover, I fear that anything I do say that you disagree with will merely be dismissed as "legalistic crap."

Someone should write a book about the motives and findings of medical and non-medical mercy killings. There are dark secrets here that no one dares tell the truth about.
Truly spoken. Not enough have seen and UNDERSTAND the BATTLE BEHIND the BATTLE....
...There is an agenda with Greer etc. -- it's the case law "precedents" the would-be killers are trying to set for a larger euthanasia agenda. And THAT agenda is yet in the bigger anti-God, anti-sanctity-of-life agenda of totalitarians. Remove God, remove sanctity of life, consider people and their "God-Given rights" as property of the State and you have....1984. That's what's REALLY going on here.
1984. BRAVE NEW (COMMUNIST TOTALITARIAN) WORLD.
This is part of the Godless machinery to devalue life and make this NO LONGER a government OF, BY and FOR the PEOPLE. This is 'Brave New World' and '1984' totalitarian stuff, inhumane monsters hiding behind "law" playing God.
And from all the research Calpernia and others have posted, Greer probably thinks he IS God. The 'legally blind' issue is MOOT--Helen Keller was TOTALLY blind, deaf and mute--yet compassionate and humanitarian. Greer is sick and wicked and a tool being evilly used...KNOWINGLY.
If we re-frame the debate into a perspective of Culture of (Sanctity of) Life vs. Culture of Death, it would seem that FIRST we would seek to give nourishment to someone like this. It would seem that before we would 'pull the plug' we would also give access to OBJECTIVE PEOPLE who have no vested interest in Terri's life or death. It would seem--consider the amount of money invested to save seagulls and sea lions contaminated by tanker oil spills--we would make effort to rehabilitate somebody who has the fight, the spirit, the will to live.
Absolutely it is foolish--and costs increase geometrically--to try to continue human life to the 'cryogenic-and-hope-to-thaw' extreme. There are some who have been kept on life support whose brain (I am recalling from memory, not citing cases) had practically liquefied. This isn't compassion--this is denial. HOwever, I do NOT believe Terri is in this predicament. I believe there is a conspiracy among Greer, the HINO etc. to snuff this woman.
Let us all pray to God for wisdom and pray for ALL our leaders, elected and appointed, through somehow, God will work out His will. God is still sovereign; this is STILL One Nation, Under God.

Okay, so if the 11th Circuit hears it, all they will do is kick it back down to Judge Wittless in Tampa and tell him "Listen to the case." Is that right? Or can the judges in Atlanta hear the case? They send it back to District Court in Tampa. Same judge. Appeals courts dont hear testimony on facts of case. That is reserved for District Court.

I know Sean said about 37 times that the guy is a "Nobel Prize nominee." What Sean didn't say is that the entire sum and substance of that claim is that a friend of Hammesfahr who is not a doctor or a scientist - he is a lawyer - sent a letter to the Nobel committee "nominating" Hammesfahr. Neither the Nobel committee nor anyone in the medical or scientific community has recognized Hammesfahr in this way.
If the guy - and commentators - feel the need to continually push this kind of crap credential, what does that indicate about the rest of what Hammesfahr has to say?

Why continue this farce? We all know what the consequence of the judge's decision regarding Mrs. Schiavo's fate. Watching her die slowly does two things:
It provides masturbatory glee to the those on the left who are enjoying this exercise in passive-aggressiveness, this will teach those with a moral compass from trying to usurp the court system to their own end.
It is also an additional rubbing of the collective nose in it.
Just end it already, put a needle in her arm. End their pleasure.

Hammesfahr was on Hannity last night he is a Nobel Prize nominee in the field of brain injuries and was not paid for his diagnosis according to what he said last night. How can he not be credible?
I don't know. I have read some about him. He uses some sort of technique with stroke victims that involves hyperbaric pressure that supposedly restores blood flow in the brain that he claims has had good success in some patients. I have read testimonials by some of the patients. Honestly, those who come onto these threads and makes unsubstantiated claims like "he's a whack job" and "he's not credible" really should seek to inform us just to why we should accept their claims.

I'm joining you!
And fasting also - The Lord said - these types of demons come out only through prayer and fasting! Will anyone else join?
I'm praying for her to have a strong will to live, that her organs will not be damaged, and that that spirit of murder that is coming after her will be bound - and will not succeed! And that her parents will be able to get her alive ASAP so they can help her.

I do not recall the make-up of the Court. I do recall, however, that hours before the SCOTUS stayed the recount in 2000, the 11th Circuit had refused stay the recount.
I seem to recall that roughly 6 justices were appointed by Bush 41. Someone correct.

One issue trumps all..ABORTION.
As soon as the left saw all these religious and pro-life groups supporting Terry they took the opposing point of view. No matter how hypocritical they look.

Could not a good attorney that it is an ongoing attempt at murder, therefore the statute of limitations should not apply.
Does anybody know about the Schindlers' attorney?
With so many defeats maybe they a real heavy hitter.
The reputation of the lawyer makes a difference especially on appeal.

Thanks for the post. It is good to know other Freepers are praying hard for Terri.
