Well, I don't buy into conspiracy, but I sure would appreciate someone explaining in laymans terms how this is 1) legally, being permitted, considering the public information that is out there includes no living will on Terri's behalf, and 2) morally being tolerated by a medical profession sworn to the hippocratic oath.
If the judges are making the legally correct decision, explain it to us. It certainly does not appear to be the RIGHT decision.
It is quickly becoming the killing of the inconvenient or troublesome... and then all you have to do is redefine 'inconvenient' to those that make you feel bad about the wrongs you do. People do this already, every day. Hence the murder rate.
I liked Greta's comment to Felos last night during her show (she was interviewing him over the phone). Felos was asking Greta if she thought the husband (Michael) wasn't going through a miserable time, and talking about how he s at her bedside and so distraught and looking out for Teri's interests and how this is tearing him up, yadda yadda. Greta responded that was a "hard sell" since the "husband" now had a common-law-wife and two children. Greta pointed out it's hard to accept Michael has any of Teri's interests at heart at this point. Felos responded by saying Michael doesn't have to prove his motivations to anyone.....
I hope he gets charged with murder if Teri dies. I hope he worries about that. Teri will live on, no matter what, and Michael Schiavo's name will always be synonymous with 'murderer.'
And the courts have said in their review that they err on the side of life.
I still can't get over the fact that the judges won't allow her to be fed by hand. If she were on a respirator and they removed it and found that she were able to breath on her own, would they then smother her?????
"This entire thing is just evil and insane."
This is all a result of activist judges, who selectively ignore laws or make some up themselves, or interpret them in ways that aren't consistent with the laws -- all, just to push their own agenda.
That's why judicial appointments are so important.
We need judges who will interpret the law, the US law and the US constitution.
Even our US Supreme Court made rulings, where they referred to general public opinion and the UN and foreign courts, I think it was about eliminating the death penalty for those under 18, but I remember there was something else a while ago too.
They DID stand up to the Judiciary by sending this to the federal Courts.
They certainly can if the want to. Terri's the most implortant piece of evidence in the case. It's a simple matter of preserving evidence.
"...I hope I never believe it is right to starve someone to death."
I might make an exception for a certain "husband", a couple judges and a lawyer...
You would think. But no don't expect them to err on the side of life. That would be unAmerican.
Interesting notes.....are there any after 2003??
It's looking extremely bad for Terri and the Schindlers at this point.
zilch. They are pro-death.
I hear ya.
I know my cousin says Florida is like living in another country. He used to live over on Treasure Island, but I not think he lives in Pinellas Park closer to his mom. Yes, this case concerns me, since my family is so close. I have not had a chance to ask their opinion of it, though.
I did read the ruling by Judge Whittmore, and while I don't like the outcome, I do think he made a compelling and well-documented argument.
I am curious as to your opinion of the President making an "Executive Order," or finding. Could that have an impact?

The DUmpers are already there. You should see the stuff they're posting in their comments.
"I want this monster of a "husband" Michael to be SHAMED."
If he is not already shamed, there's little hope of that.
