Official After-Action Thread: March 19 Fayetteville, NC Support Our Troops Rally
Freepers, lurkers and assorted patriots ^ | March 19, 2005 | Constitution Day

Posted on 03/19/2005 5:03:49 PM PST by Constitution Day

Today we met in Fayetteville, NC to Freep a motley rabble of socialists, anarchists, Code Pink-os, and other throwbacks to the 60's! As usual, we were well outnumbered by their hordes of college students, aging hippies and other bused-in protestors, but we held our own as always.

Please post any reports and observations on this thread only.

It's essentially an anthology of Horowitz's work-and thus, an arc of his political evolution-from his time as a leftist graduate student, to his most recent, lucidly argued polemics in defense of this nation's cornerstone values.

You should also take a look at the "Anti-Chomsky Reader", which was edited by Horowitz and his long-time collaborator, Peter Collier.

They kept shouting, "Four More Years! Four More Years!" Four more years? That doesn't even make sense.

Poor dear, I don't think you know where you were. It was the FReepers in Central Park in NY who were shouting "Four More Years!": We were shouting "8 Million People gave Saddam the Finger".

Sorry to hear you got the stories all confused. (Next time report on a rally that you actually attend.)

The next time you write a report on an event, it would be helpful for you to have actually attended.

Histrionic PieceOfNik told me to pull the plug on their life support if he/she's ever in a vegetative state. Honest!

After reading Post 456 what'dya think? Time to pull the plug?

Too bad Hatriotic POS had their account banned. I would like to see evidence of their alleged abuse. They only had about 50 bazillion photographers on their side taking pictures up every nostril orifice in Rowan Park.

Actually, I was exclaiming "Jeb Bush in '08!"

That really seemed to tick them off, especially the fugly East Indians that they had trucked in to impersonate oppressed Arabs.

....There were many conscientious objectors there, people who'd done one tour of duty and refused to return....

They got their scholarship money, to hell with America after that.

There were 3,000 of us protesting the war. There was also a counter demonstration of about 100 people protesting us.

"Do you think I like being out here, being harassed by these people (who were all around us yelling and slavering during the interview), feeling afraid?"

I did not feel safe around those rabid counter-protesters ... and we weren't safe ...

According to "pp," her group outnumbered our group 30 to 1, but she was askeered of us. Golly, we must be really strong looking folks to make "pp" think that one of us could take 30 of them.

The 100 or so crazies got equal time in most media and more than equal time on Fox, WB-50 (which is also owned by Fox) and NC-14. It's infuriating.

Peace, baby; not fury.

I read two accounts today that were totally fabricated. They talked about men in drag (didn't happen. Totally made up)

Exhibit 1: "This is what a feminist looks like"
Exhibit 2
Exhibit 3: This womyn just looks like a guy in drag.
Exhibit 4: Who really knows which way the wind blows here?

Photo credit - those four photos that I linked (back to the owner's site) were taken by Jonathan Starling, a professional photographer in Fayetteville, NC. I don't know his politics, but he's got some good photos.

This administration is misusing our military. A military force is supposed to protect the homeland and be peacekeepers, not warriors.

Huh?

I kept looking around for you, Mud. At one point I thought I saw you working undercover in Medea's entourage.
(I'm kidding)

Hi Medea.

Perhaps that peacenik is practicing for her upcoming role as "Elphaba" in the North Carolina run of Wicked.

A patriot is defined as one who loves, supports and defends their country. Nobody in your group is a patriot according to the accepted definition of the word.

The only thing that brought all those different groups together on your side is a hatred for the United States.

If there is a Vietnam parallel, you guys are it. Now it the Left that is enamoured with a "body count" and lies to inflate the figures. And Fayetteville was the Left's attempt to "win hearts and minds" by posturingit self as respresenting military families, which you do not.

You're a sick pup, seek professional help.
