Today we met in Fayetteville, NC to Freep a motley rabble of socialists, anarchists, Code Pink-os, and other throwbacks to the 60's! As usual, we were well outnumbered by their hordes of college students, aging hippies and other bused-in protestors, but we held our own as always.
Please post any reports and observations on this thread only.

....notice there is at least one dope in the background waving the V for Victory sign... It came to me too late, the counter sign must be three extended fingers, a spread Scout sign, signifying "W". As it n"W" won. Bull doo-doo. That bunch of slobs has usurped the "V" for victory sign into the "V" for 'peace', capitulation, communism, socialism, and just plain chicken-hearted liberalism. Let's take it back. The "V" should be used to support our troops until we achieve the victory of an independent, democratic Iraq. Don't let them equate victory with cowardice.

Who is the Freeper in the red hat with the black patch on his butt?
He was looney.
Loony, maybe, but not harmless. I first saw him at our food table. I was suspicious because of how he was dressed, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
He was at our food table grabbing as much as he could hold, saying "ah, cookies!"
I walked to him and asked what his beliefs were about the war. He made eye contact with me only very briefly. He said he didn't think about the war much. "Why are you here, then?"
"I'm here with my friends and my grandma."
"You should go find your friends."
As kristinn diplomatically led him away, I told him he should go find his grandma, too.
I saw him several times later, and he never made eye contact with me again.

Great job Freepers of NC. Just wanted to remind the locals who left early. We came to stand with you. Sorry you had to leave so early.Ouch. Please let me apologize. My son had a great time but he was begging to go home. He was great, but he will not be able to attend any more freeps until he gets a few more years on him. I am concerned for his safety and want to dedicate my full attention to the happenings. I really wanted to stay and break bread with you all.
If you will add me to the DC chapter ping list i will come to an event there this year.
Thank you for your support!!

Point taken, except it is so ubiquitous among the lefties that our use will likely be seen as acceptance.

Bar on Rann was wrestled to the ground and subdued. He was loaded in to a long gray van, the paddy wagon.
I expect he has been given quite a welcome in jail.

Who was that person wearing wearing the desert camo cap in the photo (was the person a member of IVAW) and what was he saying to the freepers. How many members of that group were at that rally. Way to go freepers.

The person in the middle of this picture was booted from our side. I don't know who he was. He made off with one of my megaphones. The little liar said that he was given it across the street.

I do know and I will tell you that she is a Freeper's daughter! (Go Freeps)
To: Diva Betsy Ross; dstarr
The encounter described in #405 is happening in the background of AQGeiger's pose.
It must be when I had just walked up to him, because the freako is looking at me.
You see kristinn there, but the exchange was only simmering at that point.
Only seconds after this was taken, kristinn was leading him away. I was, shall we say, exhibiting a high degree of intelligent self-restraint at that point.
