Today we met in Fayetteville, NC to Freep a motley rabble of socialists, anarchists, Code Pink-os, and other throwbacks to the 60's! As usual, we were well outnumbered by their hordes of college students, aging hippies and other bused-in protestors, but we held our own as always.
Please post any reports and observations on this thread only.
It was on 14 at 10. At 11 o'clock it was on 17 (NBC),but did not show OR EVEN MENTION US. It was primarily Nick Berg's father with his "bring the troops home now" shirt. Did anyone know he was one of the "other sides" speakers?

Looks like ou all had another great day. Wish I could have made it, but I'm sitting in a hotel room, doing my taxes, Freeping, and waiting for the husband to come back from a whole day in the recording studio!
One of my friends was friends with Nick Berg, and he told me Nick was never like his embarrassing, activist father.
6:00 PM EST, lead story, WRAL CH 11. Dr Raoul and "TV used their real name" (initials DF) were on.
10:00 PM EST, lead story, CH 50 WRAZ, Freeper "KD" (sorry hon they used your name too).
We look GOOOD. They look Baaaad. Sorry, prejudiced post.
I saw the FPD searching the lefties' bags on the evening news. Y'all saw my gear. Parked my truck on the corner for 20 mins to load, 20 mins to unload. Didn't get a second glance, except for the bumper stickers! That was fine this year, but VIGILANCE next year.

WRAL just ran their video from today. One anti-war protestor looked like he had gotten hold of some of the brown acid!
That is something I have noticed at FReep events I have attended - the children of our side are always very well behaved. They are also all absolutely beautiful.
I've been called a child abuser for "indoctrinating" my child and "using" her in my political activities.............and I have to laugh at that.
Isn't it the left that is always squawking about it "being for the children"???
Just back from Iraq and still wanting to kick some insurgent butt! This young man is wonderful: He never gives up.

They spent more time on the anti-war crowd, but they did have one or two comments from people on our side. It was a pretty balanced report.

I wanna know, who is this patriot being accosted by a leftist propagandist with a press badge? Press, pleeeaaaase. Yeah lady, whatever. (lower left corner of Med Res pic, butch w/crew cut...that big head). I understand your bewilderment, doll. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HER CAUSE SHE SPEAKS A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE. This was the closest I came to any real scrutiny from FPD, when I took this pic and shouted that windbag down. I would have gave her a taste of the MP3 playin' bullhorn if I hadn't already been asked to "tone it down a bit" by one of our own.

Hey, everybody! Next year, March 19 falls on a Sunday.
Very little of our rally was shown. There was a shot of one Tax-chick's chickadees holding a sign and yelling but I think the audio was not us. The little fellow sure looked cute.
