Some of us will be up all night praying ... but God Bless those of you who have "prayer duty" tomorrow !!!

Graciously Heavenly Father, we once again ask that Your will be done, and that Your child Terri will be permitted to live. We pray for mercy, we pray for justice, we pray for life. We pray in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

AMEN!

In hearings leading to Greer’s 2000 decision, three people testified Terri would want to be removed from artificial life support, which at the time of her collapse did not include nutrition and hydration. Since Terri’s collapse in 1990, Florida lawmakers have broadened the definition of artificial life support to include nutrition and hydration. The three witnesses were Michael Schiavo, his brother and his sister-in-law, according to Barbara Weller, an attorney representing the Schindlers.

Terri’s parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, however, have said their daughter, a devout Catholic, would not want to be starved to death in violation of the church’s teachings --

"Congress is interfering with what is purely a state function."

Must disagree with you there. I am a serious 10th Amendment fan--I call for majorly limiting and shrinking the Fed (and the State) govts. However, this case transcends that dividing line, IMHO and I hope I am proved correct.

There are dark agendae here that undermine ALL God-fearing governments and saving Terri helps thwart their goals.

You Would?

Would it be to punish them?

Hmmm, I think that if my husband's parents were accusing me of murder or rather attempted murder (Terri is still alive) that I would want all things concerned with her care to be transparent, which they are no where near.

The FNC producers put the banner "RIGHT TO DIE CASE" below video of Terri looking intently as someone along her bedside spoke to her.

They are either very ignorant, very biased, or very, very clever.

How so? Basically one judge has made the decisions, and he has a conflict of interest. The husband is required by law to file plans about her guardianship and he hasn't done it. How do you explain how he is in violation of the law, yet the judge hasn't forced him to do it?

Okay... what section of the Constitution empowers Congress to intervene in this matter?

That's exactly what Terri's brother said today. If Michael has nothing to hide, why not let it all come out and clear his name.

Might have been Frist...they had been talking about Delay right before I saw that...I probably didn't remember the right name from the crawl!

I am waiting for it to come on again so I can type exactly what it says!

I do remember it said this was unprecedented!!

It seems his custody rights are intact, and her parents haven't made their case. Why is that? Are all the courts, advocates, judges wrong? Is it all just "illegal"?

her husband-in-name-only (whose catholic girlfriend and mother of his two children would like a clean slate to marry in the church - ) has the legal authority regarding Terri - and Terri has been denied, again and again, to have legal representation to defend her -

Beats me - why haven't the appellate courts, right up to the USSC, noticed something so obvious that it's all over FreeRepublic?

If it's all so obvious, why are we the only ones who "know" the truth?

States do not have the right to deny their citizens their Constitutional right to life. If Florida made slavery legal again, the federal government would have the right and the obligation to interfere with that decision.

Yup. 3 people. Schiavo, his brother and his sister in law.

Florida lawmakers have broadened the definition of artificial life support to include nutrition and hydration.

Notice at the time of Terri's collapse in 1990, feeding someone wasn't considered anything other than ordinary care. It's doubtful that Terri would have included being fed through a tube as anything other than normal if she HAD made the statements that were claimed. AND, it was supposedly an off hand remark during a TV show, not a real conversation. The court was really stretching when it claimed Schiavos testimony as "clear and convincing evidence".
