CAPITOL HILL (AP) - House Majority Leader Tom DeLay says a compromise has been reached with Senate leaders on an effort aimed at keeping a brain-damaged woman alive. DeLay says the agreement will "provide a clear and appropriate avenue" for the case to be appealed to federal courts. And he says he's confident it will result in Terri Schiavo's feeding tube being reinserted while the appeals are heard. The Texas Republican says the bipartisan compromise will address everyone's concerns. He says the Senate will take up the issue today and the House tomorrow.

I thought he said it would be up to Greer to have the tube reinserted and that in normal cases that's what would be done.
Fox reporting the Senate and House meeting in 1 hour to get the bill passed.
Not to pass it. To work out differences. They're meeting again tomorrow (Sunday) at 1pm.
I can find no clarification about Greer on any article....let's pray we misunderstood....that it won't remain in his Court.....because all of this would be for absolute naught should it remain there.
This is the height of absurdity.
Congress has wasted their efforts.
I'll be back later; am withdrawing to prayer again.....please ping me to any news you may learn about Greer's involvement. Thanks.
If Jeb Bush is afraid to save Terri from this judicial nightmare, he's not the man I thought he was.
Peggy Noonan will have been proven right, that the Republicans will suffer the wrath of many of their voters.

Yes. I heard it. I should have it on tape, but I'm a terrible typist.
I'll try to get the exact words.
Give me a sec to calm down.
Thanks for correcting me. Didn't mean to mis-lead anyone.Sorry.
I have frequently critcized Savage, but my hat's off to him on this one.
Everyone is rattled.
Is that what's actually happening? Everything I've been reading has been clear as mud, and I wasn't able to actually hear the press conference with DeLay.
Regardless, I do think he's been doing all he can. The others have to cooperate also, so maybe it's time to find out whose holding up the works and put the heat on them. How do we find that out?
Honey, for 2 days I haven't hardly been able to type on my keyboard. It's like I'm drawn to the Lord in asking for His mercy and guidence. God loves His people! I am soooo overwhelmed. His mercy endures forever! Hallelujah!
We can probably guess at this point who are the ones holding up the works...
The usual suspects.
guidance- sorry.
DeLay Pledges Contempt Charge for Terri Judge
http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/3/18/181719.shtml
He better be accountable to someone. If the feds don't act, they will have allowed a very dangerous precedent to be set. Greer has no jurisdiction to defy a federal subpoena. He's a county probate judge. If Congress and US Department of Justice don't place him in contempt and prosecute, he has set a precedent that federal subpoenas mean nothing and that everyone can ignore them
He ripped HINO and the judge.
Cool!
that's your opinion.
