How come every time a celebrity dies, the TV networks interview Whoopi Goldberg to tell us what that person meant to us all? I feel as if I've seen her pontificating on everyone from Carson to Rodney Dangerfield to Pope John Paul I. How about just showing us more clips of Johnny, or getting someone like Ed McMahon, who actually knew him?

I can never understand why people just don't click on by these threads, can you?
Are we missing something here at FR? Maybe we should start dropping by threads we don't care about or aren't intersted in and holding forth with our distain.

I think Chris Rock is funny. I didn't like his line about bleeding Banana Republic employees. Thought it was just horrible to say something like that.
Thought the Bush jokes were funny, but didn't belong here.
Think that with Chris Rock and Robin Williams this show is continuing its downward trend toward stripping all dignity from it.
I miss Johnny Carson.
