WASHINGTON, February 15, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – On Friday, the US Supreme Court is currently docketed to have an internal, private discussion conference on how to handle a petition to reverse Roe v. Bolton, and the staff of The Justice Foundation, the attorneys representing both of them and the post-abortive witnesses of Operation Outcry: Silent No More.

On January 14, the petition to reverse Roe v. Wade was filed with the United States Supreme Court. It was received by the United States Supreme Court on January 19. On January 17, Martin Luther King’s birthday, Norma McCorvey and Allan Parker appeared on Hannity & Colmes to announce the filing. On January 18, a press conference with Norma, Sandra, and the ladies of Operation Outcry: Silent No More, and the lawyers, was held on the steps of the United States Supreme Court.

Guess what will happen if Roe v Wade is overturned....

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Roe v Wade make abortion a FEDERAL issue and took power away from the states to decide.

It ain't gonna happen. This court won't do it. This is a case of not having enough patience.

Wrong. Some states will probably outlaw the practice of killing pre-born babies or severely restrict it. It's not the ultimate goal, but it's a start.

If Roe v. Wade is overturned, children will be born who otherwise wouldn't have been.

As a Supreme Court watcher, I'll be extremely surprised if they reverse it.

How ironic ... this is the same day Michael Schiavo plans to pull the feeding tube on his wife.

Has anything like this EVER happened, that is, where the original plaintiffs on a Supreme Court case fervently work to overturn their original cases?

We've had 32 years of "patience." The courts need to be hammered repeatedly with cases and petitions. Every avenue must be tried to overturn this abomination. The patient approach and the urgent approach should be used simultaneously and in tandem. That's how the culture of death pressure groups work. That's how we should work as well.

Yes, and how long will it take to get that passed.

People think abortion was Banned pre RvWade

It wasn't. All Roe V Wade did was make every state have to allow abortion.

If this fails, and with the composition of this court it will certainly fail, when do you think the Supreme Court will next accept hearing a similar case?

If the USSC had the guts to overturn (whcih they don't) abortion would then be up to the states. Result, some states would have abortion, some would not and over the years Americans will move to these places accordingly. The Red states will get more red, the blue states will get more blue. Of course between abortion and AIDS, the blue states will slowly die off over the next few decades.

SCOTUS is controlled by leftists with nothing but contempt for American Values. They will just uphold Roe v. Wade and spit in our face.

I disagree Laura. Most states will impose restrictions. Yours and mine may not, but most reasonable states will. I read not too long ago that abortion will be "more or less" illegal in all but nine states. That is a huge improvement in the direction of justice.

For myself, living in a red state with three or four blue counties making it a blue state by population, these a$$h0les don't deserve such a beautiful place and I'll stay and fight, armed if necessary. Enough is enough...

I have no problem with that. We are a Rebublic of Rebublics. The people of the individual states should decide, through their legislatures, what laws they will live under. My own state of Massachusetts would most likely keep abortion legal. I wouldn't like it and if I were a legislator, I would vote against it. But if a majority of the representatives of the people of my state choose to make such a law, I would accept it and move on, or work to elect more people with my point of view.
