A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Sickly Democrat Party hires Jack Kevorkian to finish job

by JohnHuang2

According to sources working under deep cover, Democrats plan to vote for Howard Dean to head their war-torn party this Saturday, in a passionate show of support for doctor-assisted suicide. (Upon hearing this, Hillary fainted.) It's called the vote for DNC chair, or -- with Dean the certain winner -- the 'Meet your 72 Virgins' vote. Despite the heightened terror alert in Washington, authorities say there are no plans to ban traffic near the DNC during the balloting. Invoking the recent Iraq election, Democrats say the momentous vote for DNC chair represents the power of the ballot over the bombers -- they mean Bush and Cheney. Besides, when we start sealing off streets, the terrorists win. They mean Bush and Cheney.
The official Iraqi ballot featured 111 lists of candidates, so, to celebrate democracy, the DNC ballot features one guy running unopposed to lead the 'pro-choice' party. (Be patient. Successful transitions to democracy take time.) Rallying around Dean are all of the party's numerous factions -- the unions, the feminists, the gays, the lawyers, the Sunnis and Shiites. Dean's only remaining challenger, a Special Ops toy named Cody, withdrew Monday from the race to replace Terry McAuliffe, that other 'insurgent' hoax with a vacant head. "It's over, put a fork in it," said Donna Brazile. (She meant Cody, not Terry.) Dean, who proudly hails from the Wingnut wing of the Wingnut Party, was the last loser standing from the original crop of 7 losers. (You can tell a party's in great shape when it looks up to Howard Dean.)
Political observers of every stripe note that the Democrats, to win elections, must overcome their ultra-Left impulses and knock off the crazy antiwar rhetoric, so Democrats pick Howard Dean. No need to gamble with some hot-head prone to off-the-cuff remarks. And they're sick of the 'far-out' fanatical fringe image Joe Lieberman gives them.

In an example of his dazzling brilliance, Dean, who once told Tim Russert that with him as president, America's military will be third to none, says he thinks Bush was tipped-off by al-Qaeda and the Saudis before 9/11 and says he doesn't know if al-Qaeda leader Osama was involved in 9/11 (only Bush knows that) and warns everyone not to jump to conclusions. Late in the campaign, Dean told New Hampshire's Concord Monitor that he's "resisted pronouncing a sentence (on Osama) before guilt is found." We should not rush to judgment about Osama. For all we know, the guy could be clean. Let the facts come out. Why single out Osama and turn him into a second-class citizen? Dean says he has this "old fashioned notion that even with people like Osama," we ought not "prejudge jury trials."

Dean, the physician-turned-politician-turned-mortician, who complains that Bush did nothing to prevent 9/11 and complains about threat alerts to prevent 9/11s, fears that Bush, with all his Mullah and tyranny-bashing, now plans to invade Saudi Arabia, then march into Syria and Iran and Jordan and Bahrain and Egypt and Lebanon . . . Yeeaaaarrrrggghhh!

Democrats say this talk of Dean being too liberal is just GOP baloney; that there's no denying what Bush and evil Republicans are cleverly up to -- besides attacking angelic Hillary and gagging Churchill and hugging oil companies and handing out Uzis and pumping smog and tripping seniors and burning black churches and stealing elections and cheating working poor K-street lobbyists and Wall Street traders by evily slashing the highly successful Amtrak program in the budget and squeezing the 'COPS' program when everyone knows that Bush's creating a police state. And attacking Kerry's patriotism. And demeaning his atrocities in Vietnam.

And now they've set their sights on wonderful Dean. They're going to try to damage Dean, a New England liberal nutcase, by painting him as a New England liberal nutcase. Other Democrats aren't so worried. They say what the party really hungers for is someone like Dean, someone to rouse the old Bolsheviks. Dems say they like Dean because he's a real liberal -- antiwar, anti-tax cuts, pro-abort, pro-gay rights and, besides, he's not really liberal since he balanced the budget and backs gun rights, so he's really a "centrist". Dean lost every primary outside his home state and was broke after Iowa, so he's just the winner the party needs to raise money and win elections. "He gave the Democratic Party its swagger back" and "reminded them they should not act like a beaten dog," one party bigwig said about the beaten dog.

So lemme get this straight. The Democrat Party just suffered historic losses because of its reputation for being the party of fringe nutburgers and so the 'establishment' thinks the solution here is to hire a fringe nutburger who gives nutburgers a bad name and who couldn't attract any votes outside his People's Republic of Vermont as national boss?

I smell a filibuster-proof GOP Senate.

Anyway, that's...

My two cents
