The pre-spin: Bush will spend about 1/2 the speech on foreign policy, 1/2 on domestic, with heavy emphasis on Social Security reform. It's said he will provide a detailed tutorial on the SS system and its problems with a few details on his personal accounts proposal.
Laura's guests are said to be an Afghan voter and an Iraqi voter (too bad there's no Ukrainian wearing an orange hat!).
Should we start a drinking game on how many times the pool camera swings to Hillary? Hmmm. Probably not...it would likely hamper out typing ability.
Word on the blogs has it that the closing part of the speech is a hum-dinger. Set your VCR's.

That is a beautiful picture.
I've had to remove myself from some high-volume PING lists before.
After the election, I had to do the same thing...whew. :)
That's odd--I have the opposite reaction (hee-hee).
We would have to drive to a county that sells booze for personal consumption and I don't know that I can talk the boyfriend into doing that when he gets home from work...
Spread the word
The Dem on Hardball just said,"THe cost of the Iraqi peoples freedom wasn't worth it." What a moron.
Are the republicans really going to come in with purple index fingers?? That would be GREAT...
OMG! Matthews just asked the DEM activist:
"Are Democrats worried, given the election in Iraq, if maybe President Bush wasn't right all along? And that maybe the American people will decide he was right and the Dems were wrong?"
(...I almost fell off my chair!)
I can't believe she was so unprepared for that question. She mumbled something about the country being divided and then finally said she still thinks it was "a mistake".....tell that to all those new voters in Iraq!
I tell ya, Dubya's got these people peeing their pants and wanting their mamas. It's a sight to behold!
LOL
Another secret weapon of his - all the demcrats - lawyers all? - are so mired down trying to find the meaning of 'strategery' (after all, they're still not sure what the meaning of "is" is,) that by the time they start to get a clue, he's long off onto something else.
They will always "misunderestimate" him - he he
I thought that was the object! lol
Funny, I never hear anymore about how Dick Cheney is really running the show.
LOL!
I actually went to the store.
Good luck with the boyfriend...lol.
Kick that guy's pathetic patootie to some third-rate despotic hellhole!
Jeepers, I've been looking for this. Thanks!
What did Ron Silver have to say on HB tonight?....I missed it.
DUmmie darling John Stewart said much the same yesterday: "Gee, what if Bush was right?" LOL They're terrified.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush will outline his plan to save a Social Security system that he will warn is heading toward bankruptcy, and present his strategy for "a new phase" in the Iraq war Wednesday night in his State of the Union address.
"Over the next several months, on issue after issue, let us do what Americans have always done and build a better world for our children and grandchildren," Bush will say, according to excerpts of the speech released in advance.
Bush is scheduled to address a joint session of Congress at 9 p.m.
"Fixing Social Security permanently will require an open, candid review of the options," Bush will say. "I will work with members of Congress to find the most effective combination of reforms."

Add that to Jon Stewart's implosion at the notion that Bush was right...time for a blinding (if belated) glimpse of the obvious for the Dims.
