More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!
The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.
'Nazi Germany. Normal people became evil. A careless thoughtlessness takes over. Careless thoughtlessness as in Nazi Germany works against Terri. That is what we are battling against every day.'
I know exactly what you're saying. I have stacks of papers on this subject, printing more every day. Problem is, some don't want to hear the truth that would set them free. I don't know if it is because they are blind, or if they have another agenda. I can't even get past two sentences with my own family before they start jumping down my throat.
ARE WE BARBARIANS?
No you are not; most of the others here are not. But many, many others are distracted by trying to hold down two jobs, keeping their noses to the grind-stone our keepers have chained us to, or keeping up with the latest bread and circus. Many of the people who rule over us, OTH, are another story. I don't know how bad things will have to get before it gets some people's attention.

To use him as inspiration is one thing (although I would look to the cross), but to pray to the dead is another. I don't mean to criticize you, or offend you, I really don't. But this was how I prefaced my lost post. The lesson we are to learn here is that there is ONE God, and He is a jealous God. He is the Creator and we are to worship HIM not the created man. He told us to come out and be separate and He would be a Father to us. What did Jesus say? Call no man your father on earth for you have one Father who is in Heaven. After we planted a cross in 1607 and dedicated this country to Jesus Christ and the spreading of the gospel, what did we eventually do? We called George Washington the father of our country. See Psalm 118:8-9 again. See what I mean? What did else did Jesus say: Anything my Father has not planted will be plucked up by the roots. Please see the parable at Ezekiel 17. What else did He say?

Doing a search under EAGLE in my seminary concordance, I eventually came to this in the Greek (abbreviated):

I'm just trying to say, as you well know, we are in a desperate situation, and we ought to be praying to the God of the Universe for help, and not offend Him by praying to that which is not God. This is the lesson of the past 6,000 years. See Psalm 118:8 again.

Dear Governor Bush,
As you are well aware, Michael Schiavo, his lawyer George Felos, and Judge George Greer are planning to fatally starve Terri Schindler Schiavo starting Tuesady February 22. I would hope that in addition to using your powers as executive to intervene, you could address the legislature and the public and make clear a few things that need to be said.
There are a number of politicians and government officials for whom it would be very embarassing if Terri were ever found not to be in a genuinely vegetative state. Having previously supported her death by starvation, they don't feel that they could justify themselves if it were discovered they'd tried to sentence an innocent woman to death. It would be most convenient for those politicians if Terri could simply disappear.
A few year ago, they might have gotten their wish.
Not anymore.
With the advent of blogs and other 'alternative media', too many people know the truth about Terri's case for it to ever be swept under the rug. Those who refuse to help Terri for fear of getting egg on their face will end up with blood on their hands, and it won't wash off.
Some politicians will try to justify their actions on the basis that they're doing "what Terri wants", or that they don't want to come between a husband and his wife. It stretches credulity, however, to suggest that anyone would want to be denied such basic care as having their teeth cleaned, or having their muscles exercised to prevent contracture. And suggesting that a man who has openly professed his desire to marry another woman should have any authority over his wife is to make a mockery of marriage.
If Terri is handed over to her parents, and if her condition improves under her care, those who earlier tried to kill her may end up with egg on their face, but it won't stick too badly. After all, the goal of Terri's supporters isn't to punish people who naively supported her starvation, but rather to save her life. But if Greer et al. are allowed to kill Terri, those who supported their efforts will bear forever the stain of her innocent blood.

I am in agreement with you. I consider Terri a saint in that she has suffered for all of us by her captivity under Michael. May God be glorified!
While President's Day is a federal holiday, it is not an observed state holiday in Florida (you can see the list of Florida state holidays 2000->Ch0110->Section%20117>HERE. Our state legislature is not currently in session (and won't be until March 5), although a number of the state senators and representatives are actually in Tallahassee attending pre-session legislative committee meetings. It's a pretty good bet, though, that many of the legislators and their associated employees are "taking" February 21 as a holiday, however, as there are no committee meetings scheduled on that day.
President's Day is not observed as a holiday by either the Florida 6th Judicial Circuit Court, which is Judge Greer's circuit (you can see their holiday schedule here) or the Florida 2nd District Court of Appeal (holiday schedule here), so there is no reason to be surprised that Judge Greer's court is in session on Monday, February 21, and no reason to think that the 2nd DCA won't be in "business as usual" mode on that same day.
Since the subject of the hearing on Monday is a new stay on the removal of Terri's feeding tube, and we keep hearing that the current stay will be lifted on Tuesday...I thank God that Monday isn't a holiday.
