PROM princess or porn queen?
This prom dress is so skimpy, even the designer's CEO wouldn't let his teenage daughter wear it. But the dangerously revealing gown, prominently advertised in Seventeen Prom, YM Prom and Teen Prom, and on sale in a Midtown shop, is a top seller for the company this season.
"I was shocked when I first saw it, but now it's one of our top 20 dresses nationwide," says Nick Yeh, the CEO of Xcite, the Stafford, Texas, company that designed the dress and some 200 other styles this season.
"I have a 15-year-old daughter and, no, I would not recommend she wear this dress.
"As a businessman," he adds, "I'm not judging what a teenager should wear or not wear. It's up to the parents to decide for their own children."
In fact, some shops in smaller cities require girls to bring in parental permission slips to buy the dress, Yeh told The Post.
At Elite Designs, a formal shop in Midtown that has the barely-there gown on a mannequin, owner Surinder Nagpal says, "We've gotten a few calls about that dress. Originally, I wasn't going to stock [it], but my sales associate told me that girls would want it, so we're stocking it in black and red."
So far, says Helen Rodriguez, Nagpal's sales associate, no one has bought the $495 gown - but it just arrived.

Are you also known as MKR as in Mister King Republican in Yahoo's Washington Watch One?
True story: I was at a Walmart photo counter when a very pregnant young woman came up. She was wearing hip hugger shorts and a tube top that just covered her breasts. Her huge, veined, pregnant stomach was on prominent display. I did not know that displaying pregnancy was a fashion statement and was moved to offer the obviously impoverished girl money for proper clothing. Then I happen to think, an impoverished woman wouldn't be dropping off pictures to develop. So I didn't offer, but it was still one of the most shocking things I've ever seen!
When I saw the smilie I immediately thought of the very conservative Christian site that I read (they've been using that smilie for years). Why is it that you were the one that thought it came from the DUmmies?
Just kidding....
L
Ah, yes! A topless, bottomless, frontless backless!
She has it on backwards, right? :-)
It was a joke.
But if you go over there (you'll want to shower afterwards) you will see they load up all their posts with a ton of smileys -- jumping, with signs, with wings -- it makes it look (accurately) like a bunch of preschoolers.
I wonder what Joan Rivers and her daughter would say about these prom dresses...
I'm looking at these stupid pictures and thinking to myself, these aren't prom pictures; they're pictures from the latest hip-hop-gangsta-rap awards ceremony-at least, that's what comes to mind right off the bat.
Heh yeah.. better than that see-through number ick.
The big question is: how many teens feel that great about their bodies and have the guts to wear something like that? I don't think it would be very many at all.
It looks like a stripper's outfit.
Long time no post and come check this out ping.
Girls who wear these kinds of things have spiritual, emotional and/or mental problems.
