"If you Mods are so terrified that a Freeper may read Dick Lamms speech about America's Demise?, perhaps you should contact these other websites and ask if they won't also remove their articles/threads as you have done."

=====================================================

I can only agree with B4Ranch here. When it comes to fighting the war on terror and dealing with what is now an invasion of illegal migrants - the two issues have evolved into a single, crucial debate that must be allowed to proceed.

But not just allowed, it must be encouraged, fostered, given ample room to flourish in a mature and dignified forum. FR's forum rules are fair and when followed, free speech reigns.

A critical error in quenching democracy comes when free and open debate on sensitive and immediately impacting matters that affect the lives of us all is curtailed - censored if you will.

The two most damaging and powerful enemies to the future of the United States of America are the Islamic jihad on her and the fact that she is now the victim herself of unprotected borders.

Yes, unprotected.

When the equivalent of sixty full large passenger airliners a day of illegal migrants pass into this country unabated, that can spell but only one thing for the survival of this country - peril.

Peril in the sense of how this invasion impacts our economy ($400 billion a year in lost, unreported tax revenue), our social and support structure, and our social identity (which we no longer even recognize).

This does not even take into effect the issues of national security. There were terrorists in this nation illegally, being trained illegally in our technical aircraft industry, and even voting illegally in our political system. In fact, our own government sent several of them voter registration renewal forms after they comitted religious suicide killing 3,000 innocent Americans and their names and faces had been plastered on every television set in the country for six months.

We have a crisis on our hands. Actually, we are at war. When you have some of the most seasoned and intelligent patriots we now have living (former NORAD Commander, Lt. General Thomas McInerney, among many others) come forward and warn America that the threat of Islamic jihad is every bit as lethal as Adolph Hitler's invasion of Poland - it's time to sit up and listen.

And listen we must. We must hear clearly and without petty preconceived prejudices of what we 'think' is or is not the answer.

All is at risk here folks. There is a hostile world uniting against this country. We saw it as we were rejected, time and time again as we sought for military allies against Saddam Hussein.

They didn't come. France, Germany, Russia, and China didn't come.

Why? Because they were united against the United States both economically and militarily. Proof of this resurfaces constantly as we found advanced weaponry in Iraq from each of these countries with manufacturing dates on them less than two years old. That's after Iraq had come under a U.N. weapons embargo - after

Somebody once said "A house divided against itself cannot stand."

It was true then, and it is true today.

We must know the facts. We must act upon them collectively as patriots with one united, cohesive, and mighty resolve - to defend and preserve the Republic of The United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Our choices are to bury our heads and witness the demise of America or act responsibly with maturity and unity for the good of our country.

And unprotected borders, an illegal invasion causing as much economic and social havoc as any war ever could, and a religious jihad bent on killing as many American soldiers, civilians, men, women, and children as possible are not options.

Think about it.

That's exactly the way I see it.

Very good post!

I agree, especially with this:

We must know the facts. We must act upon them collectively as patriots with one united, cohesive, and mighty resolve - to defend and preserve the Republic of The United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Just a random thought from an old ad-man? Maybe we should stop arguing over whether it's WW3 or WW4 and start calling it

"The New World War."

Might resonate better.

The leftists are more than just a division. They are an enemy within

"The two most damaging and powerful enemies to the future of the United States of America are the Islamic jihad on her and the fact that she is now the victim herself of unprotected borders. "

Just couldn't bring yourself to say that the second enemy is Mexican immigrants could you? That's funny.

You pontificate about how crucial it is to discuss the issue ("not just allowed, it must be encouraged"), but when it comes right down to it your fingers just can't type M-e-x-i-c-a-n. Instead you substitute "unprotected borders".

See, you haven't totally been absorbed by the dark side yet. You still have a little sense of what the greatness of America is all about. Hang on to the light as long as you can.

Bill Gertz, Treachery: How America's Friends and Foes Are Secretly Arming Our Enemies, Crown, 2004, Chapter 6: China: Lies and Deception, Section: Bin Laden and China, pages 115-6:

On September 11, the day of the terrorist attacks, a group of Chinese government officials was in Kabul and concluded an agreement with the Taliban covering economic and technical assistance. This was just one of many agreements the Chinese reached with the Taliban. For example, according to U.S. intelligence officials, in December 1998 China had concluded another agreement with the Afghan regime after the Taliban had provided Beijing with an intelligence windfall: unexploded Tomahawk land-attack cruise missiles that U.S. forces had launched during the Clinton administration's weak attempt to blow up al Qaeda terrorist camps following the August 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

Chinese government officials vehemently deny their connections to terrorism. But bin Laden himself announced in August 2001 that there should be "good relations" between Taliban-ruled Afghanistan and China.

~~~
Intelligence reports obtained by the Pentagon in December 2001 revealed that China had supplied arms to al Qaeda after the September 11 terrorist attacks on America. Just a week after the attacks, the ruling Taliban and the al Qaeda fighters embedded among them took delivery of a shipment of Chinese-made surface-to-air missiles known as HN-5s, which was China's designation for the Soviet-design SA-7 missiles. So much for the Chinese government's claims to be cooperating with the United States in the global war on terrorism. In reality, the Chinese were and are playing a double game of pretentding to support U.S. goals while covertly undermining U.S. objectives in the war on terrorism and on other issues as well.
