No Kid Rock at Bush concert
Committee backs off plan to feature rapper after pro-family Americans express outrage

Kid Rock, the vulgar rock-rapper who initially had been lined up to headline the youth concert next week as part of the inauguration festivities for President Bush, will not be apppearing after all.

"He's not performing," a spokesman for the Presidential Inauguration Committee confirmed for WND.

No further information about the cancellation of Kid Rock was available at press time.

Word that the rapper will not join JoJo and Hilary Duff as performers at the Jan. 18 concert, which will be hosted by Bush twins Barbara and Jenna, comes after WorldNetDaily and other outlets publicized the fact that the committee was planning to feature Kid Rock, which caused several pro-family organizations to ask their supporters to protest his appearance.

I vote for allowing Kid Rock to appear at the Inauguration Ball. He's pro-American, pro-Bush and has visited the troops over in Iraq.

I'm 52 years old and finally listened to one of his songs ( a link here on FR provided by a fellow FReeper). I had no problem with that particular song.

Sorry to all of those old fogies who never listened to groups such as the Stones when they were teenagers. Obviously the only music the old fogies listened to were Lawrence Welk and Pat Boone. Uh, yeah! That type of music is really going to attract our young Republicans...not!

Kid Rock (I know him as Bobby) rules.
He may be ignorant of a few things as were we all in our youth
but his heart is right and he backs it up with actions.

Kid Rock detractors evince themselves as being more ignorant than they purport Kid Rock to be.
