The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.
Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views.
More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

The inauguration was fantastic and the ball was one of the most fun, and I just mean JOYOUS, times I have had in a long time! How I would have loved to meet all of you who work so hard, with such heart and soul, to keep Terri alive and in the hearts and minds of others.

Won't it be particularly bizarre if the decrepit Mr. Rehnquist votes with the euthanasia lobby? If so, we can say that he knows not what he does. But Sandra Day O'Connor, if she did not vote pro-euthanasia, we would know that she merely got confused on which way to vote.
Yes, Columbus metro area. Gahanna specifically. If you put a clock around the metro area, Gahanna is roughly 2:00. You're as far as Dayton? How's the weather there? We got probably 4" overnight and it's coming down again right now.
Picked sister in law up in Ohio and drove to DC on Wed. For the first time in my life-I spun off the road on a wicked patch of black ice that had many cars off the road ahead of me-went into the medium on I-70, down a hillside there, where the car turned facing the other direction on the way up the other side, going uphill, to the traffic coming the opposite direction....heart was in my throat.
After sitting for a moment, thanking God that we stopped, I got the car in motion and we joined traffic going the opposite direction from where we wanted to go...but it was not difficult as an exit was less than a mile away and the cars on that side (I-70 west bound) were going about 15 miles an hour...would that our side had been going that slow! I had gently hit the brakes because a van in front of me has spun out to the right shoulder, I spun to the left. And THIS was after a one hour and 40 minute detour off of I-70 east bound to Route 40, ( they had closed I-70 off with flares) because a huge truck had jack-knifed on I-70, apparently a tanker from the radio report) Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! It took me almost 14 hours to drive to DC! (It took eight hours to get to Dayton, Ohio yesterdaY!!!
LESSON LEARNED: No matter how good a driver ya think ya are, weather wins.

If O' Connor ponders "what would an international court do", she'll vote against Jeb Bush. There are plenty of euthanazi's in Europe. She should just go there if she's uncomfortable with American ideals, laws and virtues.
Is the weather as horrible in Columbus as it is here today...we are having snow, very slick roads and it is snowing like crazy now as the sun is getting ready to set.
Well, well, well, my friend we aren't so far apart as usual! In pleasant weather we are probably only an hour or so apart from each other. In this weather, that could be totally different. It has been decent today up until it started snowing again. Looks like the salt trucks and snowtrucks will have to keep an eye on this for most of the weekend. It's supposed to get really windy here sometime soon, but so far it's not too bad. Wind chills are expected to drop into the -10's! Yikes! The native Floridian in me doesn't like the weather when it gets to the teens above 0!
Let's get this on record: I hope that Hospice turns the heat on in Terri's room tomorrow night. (in case they're reading this thread). Thank you, Hospice staff.
We're all glad you're safe and sound. Hopefully God's in D.C. and will touch the hearts and minds of the Supreme Court. I fear for Terri. Everyone pray for her all weekend.

That's the problem: the judiciary is so full of itself at all levels of government (as Jefferson feared), with few exceptions it seems to me, that the members cannot see themselves in a vulnerable situation. They will decide this case without reading much of anything about Terri. I suspect that all nine judges know virtually nothing about her case. I don't think there is even a remote chance that the judges will take the case, and Terri will be doomed again by the evil FL judiciary, a Supreme Court consisting of some three "conservative" judges at that.
I will always recall that the Reverend Falwell and Howard Phillips of the Conservative Caucus warned Reagan about O'Connor. Then Barry Morris Goldwater said that Falwell deserved "a good swift kick in the __." Falwell was right, and Reagan and Goldwater were WRONG on O'Connor and other things as well. So old agnostic Barry Goldwater will have played a role in the eventual demise of the innocent Terri Schiavo.
One can hardly discuss Terri's case with others, for hardly anyone that I come into contact with has ever HEARD of poor Terri and the evil being done to her by Republicans and Democrats.
