Very true. However, I'd give most FReepers the benefit of the doubt when it comes to identifiying anti-semitism and I think there are very few here that would let it go unchecked (including myself). While I can't provide specific examples I have on a number of occasions, upon noticing that a response post has been scrubbed, wondering why it was removed.

What it basically comes down to is there is a tactful way to disagree. Throwing a tantrum is not it and is generally not acceptable. I know it is in public schools and other places where your self-esteem is the only thing that counts, but that's not the real world. Grow up.

I have seen valid disagreements degenerate into name-calling between individual posters on the same thread. I just don't see the level that you implied in your original post.

Although, I probably broke a rule when I posted my first article after three days of membership.

I was allowed to remain because I already knew the proper etiquette.

Rants from newbies are not tolerated, especially if they run counter to the stated purpose of FreeRepublic.
