[history]
President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.
Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. Bush noticed the fracas after posing for pictures on a red carpet with the summit host, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife and first lady Laura Bush.

GWB is the first president I have loved. And I am pretty old. I liked Reagan, I really really liked his father but I love this President. We are so blessed by him. Hey, I'm with you! I liked Reagan too and until recently I thought this love of W was just my pride because he's from my home area. But after the last 4 years, I realize I am not alone in this! LOL

My son was at the North Palace on Thanksgiving last year.
He got a little miffed that he couldn't call home because they cut the phone lines.
Only later did he find out that it was because his COMMANDER in CHIEF was only a few yards away!
(He forgave them. :o)

He's an example for men all over the country...maybe his example will show men what it means to be a real man...there's been so much confusion for so long. That is a great thing to pray for too! :-)

Please tell your son-in-law and daughter that I very much appreciate the sacrifices they both made for our great country. Hope all of you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
I can't help but ask - - what did he think about the Pres being there? Any word of what he and the other troops had to say about it?

Please tell your son-in-law the Brown family says, "Thank You, and God bless and keep you safe from harm". Thank you!
I have to tell you, I have responded now to so many posts thanking my son-in-law that I am crying myself.
Folks, this outpouring of caring for one another, our nation, our president and our servicemen is *really* what the 61+ Million folks voting for George W. Bush are all about. I am humbled myself.

Nicollo,
Been reading this thread and was about to ping you when I read your post, which by the way, is great as usual. We are so blessed to have a President who understands loyalty both ways.
Bush really loves this country and her people from the bottom of his heart. It's like him kissing Condi and others on the cheek or forehead. One can see genuine love radiating from him.
I don't always agree with him on issues, but, by george, this man is the right man to lead this great country of ours and thank God he is in the White House. Yes, I am still gloating and grinning...

IMHO, I believe the USSS agent acted in error, possibly egregiously. When he was confronted, and struggled, he took himself out of position to protect the President. Wha he shoudl have done, when his access was blocked, was stop, stand still, and loudly call out.."Mr President, please do NOT enter the room sir.." I want to know why the agent(s) were far enough away from the President to be separated from him.
This whole incident has me very concerned.

Contrast this with the Kerry ski slope incident.
Who?

Do y'all remember the LOOK GW gave algore during the first presidential debates when gorehead walked over to W's podium?
I've seen that look preceding many bar fights in Texas bars. "If you take one more step, I'll knock you on your ass!"
If anyone thinks this President doesn't have the cajones to back it up, they'd better think again!
