President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.
Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. Bush noticed the fracas after posing for pictures on a red carpet with the summit host, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife and first lady Laura Bush.
I just love this man! ;-)
When I asked then Gov. Bush to take a picture with me, he didn't hesitate to squeeze next to me. He is indeed a genuine American, not the phoney blue stater.
Lot of people want Bush dead.
I know it! I love him too, sis. I pray for him every night...the jedis and I pray every night.
He's an example for men all over the country...maybe his example will show men what it means to be a real man...there's been so much confusion for so long.
I was just telling Corin that I'm so glad we don't have that pantywaist Kerry for president...
I know what you mean. They are just so awesome. I loved him as governor of Texas and when he bought the place in Crawford I was glad to have him coming. I went over before the deal was closed on the land and just walked around the land praying for them. I never had a clue that he might actually one day become president but they were just such special people. I'm glad I got those prayers as roots for the ones I pray for them now. Somehow, I just know it makes a difference.
I wonder if he will go to Iraq this Thanksgiving or Christmas. Would not be surprised.
I don't know about Chile, but the Spaniards didn't seem particularly macho when they caved into Al Qaeda and elected Zapatero and then fled from Iraq as quick as they could.
This is great! Don't mess with Texas, or it's SS detail!
"During the 2000 election he gave gore the" Look ", anyone from Texas knows what that means."..
The nice way to say it was "amused dismissal"
.
Praise GOD that...
President BUSH has promised...
During a BUSH Presidency...
Freedom's return to:
Communist Cuba
Communist Vietnam
Communist North Korea ..as well as..
Freedom's arrival to:
All the countries of the Middel East
...as America's own best self-protection against future terrorist attacks here at home.

I know what you mean Guen....it's frightening. While I stand in awe of this president's courage, I also don't want to see him hurt in any way. It's such a dangerous world, and the powers that want him out of the way are more than just flesh and blood. Praying hard....
*Smile* Right! But it's nice to know these things don't only happen in the movies. (Speaking of which, the actor who plays Garibaldi is now a conservative talkshow host).
Security protocols are established and coordinated well in advance of the visit..This was either a screw-up by some of the Chileans, or something more sinister. It's being investigated. IMHO, I believe the USSS agent acted in error, possibly egregiously. When he was confronted, and struggled, he took himself out of position to protect the President. Wha he shoudl have done, when his access was blocked, was stop, stand still, and loudly call out.."Mr President, please do NOT enter the room sir.."

I think the question should be; Why was the Secret Service kept out?
I am so proud of our President time and time again.
Thanks for the ping.

Bush may not be a Texan by birth, but he's a Texan alright.
Outstanding!
"The Democrats would have an Encounter Session. Our President would throw down."
Thats my new tagline!
That's one of my favorite pictures/stories about our President. When he hugged that young girl, Ashley, and made her feel safe.
Peace and Courage through Strength... that's our W!
I SECOND that! :-)
