President Bush stepped into the middle of a confrontation and pulled his lead Secret Service agent away from Chilean security officials who barred his bodyguards from entering an elegant dinner for 21 world leaders Saturday night.
Several Chilean and American agents got into a pushing and shoving match outside the cultural center where the dinner was held. Bush noticed the fracas after posing for pictures on a red carpet with the summit host, Chilean President Ricardo Lagos and his wife and first lady Laura Bush.
So am I
The arrogance of other counries, especially the ones that feed off our Teat, is simply amazing
Yeah, I didn't like this either. Made me a little nervous.
I'm quite concerned about this. Our president's life was endangered by the bumbling Chilean rent-a-cops. This is the best face on this incident. The worst is that it was the first step of an assasination attempt. We need to contact the Chilean Embassy in Washington and demand an investigation. We need to put heat on this since the fraudcasters of the MSM won't.
Drudge has a good photo sequence up...
Thank you!
LOL... after last Thanksgiving, my son-in-law gets whatever he wants! :-)
I should also mention that he's an absolute wonderful husband to my daughter and dad to my grandkids. :-)
You know that is probably the one thing that makes him unsure of the presidency, because it is putting his loved ones in danger. 9/11 brought that into focus, no American president is safe, but neither are their family members. I pray for his safety, but I pray more for his family's, because if anything happened to them it would kill him. He's a caring man and he would feel it deeply.

The President had already entered the room.
He was marvelous the way he strode back and TOOK COMMAND.
Our COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF!
That's what he does. Takes COMMAND.
See the photos (posted by Diogenesis) in #254. Thanks, Diogenesis!
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my miscellaneous ping list.
I like him as much as The Gipper.
MSNBC has a video called The Kissin' Commander. I can't figure out how to link it, but the Guild might like to see it if someone can do it.

Please tell your son-in-law the Brown family says, "Thank You, and God bless and keep you safe from harm".
MAGNIFICENT, indeed!
Just doing the right thing at his own risk..........AGAIN.
Thank you. :-)
It is great to have sons-in-law that you feel proud of isn't it? I have one and he is my 4th son to me.
I haven't ever really thought the Reagan/W comparisons had much substance, but if you look at several of the pics on this thread, you can almost SEE the Gipper.
Yes, thankfully his ultimate protection is from above.....so it is with all who are hidden in the cleft of the Rock.
This is a man who takes care of his own. Were he self-centered, he wouldn't have even noticed anything wrong. But he did ---- AND he did something about it ---then and there!!
I guess that after the President and First Lady passed the door, the Chilians closed ranks immediately, which would have cut off the SS agent. The Chilians may have just been doing their job, but you can bet they will make sure NEVER to cut off Dubyas man again!
"Able to win the popular vote by the largest margin ever . . . able to look great in everything from jeans to a flight suit to a tux . . . able to rescue his own Secret Service Agent . . . it's a bird . . . it's a plane . . . it's . . . SUPER W!"
You captured my thoughts exactly!
Ohio: Thanks for the photos . . . Have I mentioned lately how much I just love our COURAGEOUS president?!!
