Undaunted, Kerry vows `I'm gonna be fighting'
Boston Herald ^ | 11/10/04 | Andrew Miga

WASHINGTON - Defeated Democrat John F. Kerry [related, bio] yesterday launched his political re-entry, huddling with party leaders and vowing to play a high-profile role opposing President Bush [related, bio] in the next term.

Making his first public appearance since his presidential concession speech a week ago, Kerry posed for the cameras during a strategy session on Capitol Hill with House Democratic Leader U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi.
Kerry also met with Senate Democratic leader-designate Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada to flesh out an anti-Bush agenda for his party in the coming months.
``We have a very clear agenda and I'm gonna be fighting for that agenda with all the energy I have and all the passion I brought to the campaign,'' Kerry said.
Kerry, who plans to be a leading Democratic voice against Bush, vowed to pursue the issues he pressed during the fall race: health-care reform, protecting Social Security and energy independence.
The Bay State senator has spent the past few days thanking supporters and friends - and consulting with party officials on how he can continue to play a leading role on the national stage.
``He's a national figure and he has a huge platform to work with,'' Kerry spokesman David Wade said.
``He's very focused on coming back to the Senate and thinking of how he takes the issues he ran on and puts them at the top of the national agenda.''
Other Kerry sources confirmed the senator has rebounded emotionally and is looking ahead to expanding the political capital he built during the race.
Kerry has told close supporters he is open to exploring a 2008 White House run, sources said.
However, even top aides concede another presidential bid would be the longest of long shots.
Kerry, the aides said, probably will be eclipsed soon by fresher faces such as Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), running mate Sen. John Edwards [related, bio] (D-N.C.), Virginia Gov. Mark Warner or North Carolina Gov. Michael F. Easley.

Plus, much of Kerry's fund-raising base was built on perceptions he could beat Bush, the aides noted.
``Kerry will be a tough sell four years from now,'' admitted one longtime Kerry adviser. ``All this talk about running for president will fade soon enough when reality sets in.''

Probably not since he worked almost an entire month towards the end of the election. I imagine he is exhausted and needs a week at the Colorado mansion for some skiing.

"Now about that Form 180"

Now that the campaign is over I predict Hillary's suck-ups in the media will also begin sticking him the needle over not disclosing records. Good. We don't want him rising up like a zombie.

Sure. They've burned their bridges by deriding the great mass of unwashed and expect everyone to hear the message of the snobocracy who believes that we are stupid welfare grabbing, illiterate Walmart shoppers.

Remember that with retreads inflation (as in air) is very important. Look for all of Bravo Sierra.

If the stage was ever right for peaceful secession, it is now. Unfortunately, we know the RATs won't secede, because it is the conservatives that pay most of the taxes, and the RATs do love to collect other people's money.

Now I'm really worried.

This is comical.

Kerry sounds like a teenager who has suddenly while lying in his mess of a room, smoking pot and listening to heavy metal, suddenly discovers life must have a purpose.

At 60 Kerry has suddenly gotten to age 16 and has a reason to live. For crying out loud, this man is unbelievably infantile. Bless his heart.

Actually, Kerry is going to be fighting, but he's going to be fighting Therezza.

Are you sure he didn't say, "Ahm gonna do me some fightin'!" Terayza probably has hired a voice coach from Alabama to work with him by now.
Of course, this is so typical of libs...he'll be fighting Pres. Bush and the Republicans, but wants to make peace with Chirac and Schroeder. He doesn't want to offend the terrorists, but he'll be hell on conservative Christians.
Thank God that He in His mercy spared the USA from this loser, and let us make sure he never gets in a position to run again.

Will Kerry need to take a 'time out'for the treason trial that's been a long time coming?

I hear he might be heading up the new mideast peace talks while courting a new rich widow to be, worth far more than Teraza. < /sarcasm >

Losers all talk like this after they take an election beating.

As time goes by and no one pays any attention to Lurch, he will be forced to again spend his time fighting off Tah-ray-zah's romantic advances.

Is that the hood from his burka?

Translations for Kerry-speak:

health-care reform: unequal access to poor health-care using Cuber as the model.

protecting Social Security: make the "little people" stay on a sinking ship knowing he's already on a safe boat.

energy independence: Means being independent of evil, profit-making, Republican-voting AMERICAN oil thus copying the French model of $6/gallon gas.
