Moore Predicts Impeachable Bush Blunder

In a bid to encourage demoralized Democrats, left-wing filmmaker Michael Moore is predicting that President Bush will become so "cocky and arrogant" that he'll commit an impeachable offense that will end in his removal from office. Moore was silent on the crushing defeat of John Kerry for 48 hours after the election. Then, on Thursday he posted a list of all the Iraq war dead along with a terse statement that he hoped they would "forgive" America for re-electing Bush. On Friday he elaborated with a list of 17 reasons Democrats need not despair. "Bush is now a lame duck president," Moore reminded. "It's all downhill for him from here on out." One likely possibility, says the celluloid conspiracy monger, is that the White House will alienate the GOP base by abandoning Christian conservatives -- since he no longer needs them for re-election. Another is that Bush "will become so cocky and arrogant -- and thus, reckless -- that he will commit a blunder of such major proportions that even his own party will have to remove him from office." Adds Moore: "This is such a wonderful country -- it doesn't even need a president!"

MM STILL hasn't gotten that he really ought to SIT DOWN and SHUT UP.

The DNC has been trying to send him a STFU fax but the line seems to be dead.

"LOL. This is their only hope."

What hope? Then they'd have Cheney, and they'd be punished by the people just like the pubbies were when they impeached a popular president. At this point in time, in order to get impeached, Bush would basically have to kill someone with his bare hands, or try and, oh I don't know, I was going to say steal the gold in Fort Knox, but I don't think there is any gold there anymore.

The dems should stop taking the counsel of Mr. Moore.

maybe Moore didn't notice which party runs Congress.

Since when has reality played any part in the decisions of the Democrats.

The last thing we want is for him to sit down and shut up. The more he talks, the better it is for us. This idiot cannot help energizing us by baldly stating what the opposition wants. I would go so far as to say that every time he opens his yap, more people desert the democritter side.

Careful what you wish for there, Lumpy. You remove Bush, you get rewarded with an incumbent Dick Cheney.

Actually....No!Let him keep talking. He's wearing everyone's patience thin.Hollywood will eventually tell him to dry up & blow away (even THEY have limits to what they will tolerate),and HE will be the one who,out of desperation to save a withering career,do something to shoot himself in the foot and then he will be put away-for good.Trust me-the bigger (and dumber) they are,the harder they fall.

The Senate does not have a role in the impeachment process. That is entirely a House matter. The Senate can only act to remove or acquit AFTER the House has impeached the president.

Yes, but that's the point. If you already KNOW the Senate will do nothing, why even bother to TRY stirring up the House?

No Worries. Scottish Law would ensure that Pres Bush would never be convicted. Right?

A closet Arlen Specter supporter, you are?
