ELECTION 2006
DONTMOVEON.ORG ^ | NOVEMBER 3, 2004 | BOB REDMAN

Election 2006

Of the 15 senators up for reelection this fall who voted to acquit Clinton in 1999, only one was defeated, but it was a big one - prince of obstruction Tom Daschle of South Dakota.

Now we turn our attention to 2006. The following 14 senators who will then be up for reelection also voted to acquit Clinton and therefore disqualified themselves for public office.

Moreover, all of them voted for the Harkin amendment to the bill banning partial-birth abortion. All but two of them (Byrd and Conrad) also voted on 21 Oct. 2003 against the bill to ban partial-birth abortion, all of them voted on 25 March 2004 for the "killer" Feinstein amendment to the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, and none of them supports the 2nd Amendment.

They are:

Akaka (D-HI), Bingamen (D-NM), Byrd (D-WV), Cantwell (D-WA), Chafee (R-RI), Rodham (D-NY), Conrad (D-ND), Feinstein (C-CA), Jeffords (I-VT), Kennedy (D-MA), Kohl (D-WI), Lieberman (D-CT), Sarbanes (D-MD), and Snowe (R-ME).

In the coming months this website will offer a series of articles on each one of them. Don't forget them, don't let them forget us. Comment: redmanb@mindspring.com

I'm all for putting Byrd out to pasture. Only problem is we do not have any "star" Republican candidates to run against him. Where can we get a star? Well, J.D. Rockefeller moved here in order to run for Senator. All it takes in WV is lots of money and somebody who loves to shake hands a lot.

I know ya all probably wanna break from this stuff, but we need to start gearing up NOW to get rid of Maria Cantwell in 2006... Well? What are ya all waiting for? Let's get rid of at least one of our idiot senators!

Realistically, you can't possibly expect to change more than
Bingamen (D-NM),
Conrad (D-ND),
Kohl (D-WI)
Byrd (D-WV),
Rodham (D-NY)
probably in about that order.

Thanks for keeping this fresh. Knowing that the Republicans were going to retain control of the Senate, I was actually hoping that Arlen Specter would crash and burn last night for his craven and cowardly vote of "not proved under Scottish Law" during the impeachment trial. Truly repulsive.

Get rid of Kennedy? We'll have to cross that bridge when we get to it.

So to speak.

That'll be enough. We need a solid Republican Senate voting majority of 60 by January 2007. We should start working on this NOW.

Even if a democrat (shudder) gets elected to the WH in 2008, they won't be able to make good on a single judicial appointment, particularly to the USSC. It will be pay-back time.

Didn't Frist say this would be his last term as Senator? Or has he changed his mind. If Frist doesn't run and Harold Ford runs for Senator, this could be a Dem pickup.

I'm hoping Jeb will run against Bill Nelson, but he's already said he won't.

Feinstein has hinted at retirement... maybe Arnold would be interested, since he can't run for Prez.

Look for Feinstein to retire.

Not that the GOP has any hope of getting a good candidate to replace her.

Dayton, the cowardly lickspittle, retreated to his nest where he cowered in expectation of an attack on Washington that never came.
Force the Democrats to defend this bum! Make him the poster boy of the Democrat Party, and if you can't beat someone like him, you can't beat anyone.
