40 years ago, you answered the call of your country with heads held high. Young and full of American promise you were, off to fight against tyranny in a far off land for someone you'd never met.
You endured the hell that is War, fighting with honor and victory even as your friends fell by your side. You did it for those fallen brothers, for the South Vietnamese who could not fight, most of all for your children so they wouldn't have to fight in their time.
You came home to a country who's people were torn by that war, many of them having forgotten the cost that freedom carries, many of them forgetting the scars you carried.
40 years. A Generation ago. Many had conveniently forgotten VietNam... had chosen to forget you.
But you did not forget.
One of your own, and yet also not of your own - because he is without honor - attempted to usurp America today and was defeated. Because of you.
Having once served alongside you, then afterwards soiling your sacrifices with lies, still afterwards giving aid and comfort to the very same enemy you had together fought against, his lust for power compelled him to become our Commander in Chief. In his attempted grab for power, he dared to take the honor he had once stolen from you and reclaim it for himself.
You knew this could not stand, and unbidden by anyone or anything save for your honor (which you knew you had never lost...), you came forward to answer - again!!! - America's need for truth and heroism in it's warriors. You spoke the truth that we had forgotten. As when you had returned home from that far off jungle, you again endured ridicule and insult from many of our fellow citizens... but still you fought with words of truth.
George Bush's victory today comes from the efforts of many, many people... and most of all, I am most proud and humbled to say that it comes from a group of Vets who - though forgotten by many in America - never themselves stopped loving America.
Heroes. You are mine and our Heroes. 40 years ago. Today. And Forever.
Que Dios siempre los bendiga y los guarde en la Palma de su Mano Derecha.

I have thanked the Swifites and the Pow's and the Vetrans many times today. The money I sent them was the best investment I have made since I became a home owner.
One can never thank them enouth.
A shameless plug for a vanity of mine. This is why we owe a debt of gratitude to them.

I seem to be following you today, you shameless plug hussy!
God bless GW, our warriors in the middle east, on the seas and in the air.
God bless our Nam Vets. It past time that we honor them.
God bless all of our vets and the Swift Vets!
We need to find a place in common to hang out.
When you have a horn to toot, ya gotta blow it.
I'm not touchin' that horn to toot with a ten foot pole.
Oh, what's running through my mind right now.
And Thank You God...for the hand You have on all of us and for hearing our prayers

I salute you proud and strong. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
I heard today on Brit Hume's Program on Fox News Station that the Swift Boat Vets for Truth message impacted the awareness of 72% of the people. That is awesome and that is the beauty of your sincere words.
It was a long time comin' and worth every second.
LadyLake, if it's lewd, rude or nefarious do it in private.
If it is ribald, good natured teasing or humorous then go for it.
I didn't survive being the 7th out of 10 kids by being thin skinned.
I'm sorry we didn't cover your backs then. We were too young, too weak, too foolish. I hope yesterday made up for some of that.
10 kids, huh? I'd like to meet yo' mama! That has got to be one heck of a woman, God bless her little heart.
She actually birthed 14 . 3 of them were too early to survive more than a couple of hours. They probably would now that there are neonatal icu's.
One of them was a crib death .
My Mom was a remarkable woman. The older I get, the smarter she seems to me.
She unfortunately had an early death at 62. Got all her kids raised though. That was very important to her.

Honor, Respect and Gratitude to all who serve the cause of Freedom and Liberty.
Thanks can't possibly convey the feelings......... may God bless you all
