40 years ago, you answered the call of your country with heads held high. Young and full of American promise you were, off to fight against tyranny in a far off land for someone you'd never met.
You endured the hell that is War, fighting with honor and victory even as your friends fell by your side. You did it for those fallen brothers, for the South Vietnamese who could not fight, most of all for your children so they wouldn't have to fight in their time.
You came home to a country who's people were torn by that war, many of them having forgotten the cost that freedom carries, many of them forgetting the scars you carried.
40 years. A Generation ago. Many had conveniently forgotten VietNam... had chosen to forget you.
But you did not forget.
One of your own, and yet also not of your own - because he is without honor - attempted to usurp America today and was defeated. Because of you.
Having once served alongside you, then afterwards soiling your sacrifices with lies, still afterwards giving aid and comfort to the very same enemy you had together fought against, his lust for power compelled him to become our Commander in Chief. In his attempted grab for power, he dared to take the honor he had once stolen from you and reclaim it for himself.
You knew this could not stand, and unbidden by anyone or anything save for your honor (which you knew you had never lost...), you came forward to answer - again!!! - America's need for truth and heroism in it's warriors. You spoke the truth that we had forgotten. As when you had returned home from that far off jungle, you again endured ridicule and insult from many of our fellow citizens... but still you fought with words of truth.
George Bush's victory today comes from the efforts of many, many people... and most of all, I am most proud and humbled to say that it comes from a group of Vets who - though forgotten by many in America - never themselves stopped loving America.
Heroes. You are mine and our Heroes. 40 years ago. Today. And Forever.
Que Dios siempre los bendiga y los guarde en la Palma de su Mano Derecha.

God Bless each and every one of you for standing up for what is right. You have served your nation once again in a way that leaves many of us in awe.
I wish I could thank each of you in person...THANK you and again, GOD BLESS!
Also we need to remember that the poison Kerry spread infected the ranks of combat troops.
It not only undermined the war...it caused young troops to loose focus...Kerry sewed seeds of discontent and mistrust of leaders..
IMO this contributed to combat deaths among our 19 yr old soldiers..and adjustment problems upon return to CONUS
John Forbes Kerry has much American blood on his hands as he does the blood of our friends and allies..
The Swift Boat Vets and POWs got him....by the grace of God
The rabid America hating of our founders John Kerry and his pet skunk Soros are defeated
what a joyous dday...the sky is blue and the sun is shinning here today after too many cloudy cold rainy days...
Where's James Brown when you need him...

The Supreme Court Nominees alone is a HUGE VICTORY and the Gain in the House and the Senate.
The America of TEDDY ROOSEVELT IS BACK!
You said it right about our noble warriors that won the Vietnam War on the battle field and lost it on TV. We will always owe them and forty years later again they served our country, probably saved it, and this time THEY WON.
I translated your last line for the others. It is very beautiful!
"That God always blesses them and keeps them in the Palm of his Right Hand."
God bless and protect them.
I have been alienated for years and had a victim mentality for years because of people like kERRY and Jane Fonda. I was really upset until I read "Unfit for Command" and realized kERRY would loose. The rest of the country is off in a new direction. I am not a baby killer and I now understand and can not go in a new direciton myself.
Stop it with these wonderful posts...Im getting misty again!
My father served two tours in Vietnam aboard the Midway and volunteered for river patrol whenever he could. He would be smiling today-- perhaps he IS smiling today from on high. I gave to the Swifties because I know it's what my dad would have done-- he would have honored the men who served and didn't complain or showboat or tear down the country that gave us EVERYTHING.
I am so proud of my dad and I miss him so much-- I only wish he were here to share this day.
Thanks, Swifties!
Wouldn't it be wonderful to see Mr. O'Neill become a Republican and run for Congress.
What a moving post. I thank God every day to be an American and for the righteous might protecting us all, even those who hate America. But they lost yesterday! Thank You Veterans!
Semper Fi Mr O'Neil
These brave, honorable Swift Vets were called "drunks" last night by the disgraceful RATS. I will always remember how these brave men told the truth to the world with dignity. God Bless each and every one of them.
Is he a Texan?
Yes, thank you. We could not have done this without you.
Your second proverbial tour of duty in defense of this fine country will not soon be forgotten.
I believe he is.
Thanks, guys.
